Johnson Pool assisted in caring for our pool for 20 years. We moved away for 10 years and, when we returned to buy a home, I knew I wanted another pool. We had contacted several pool companies to begin a pool project at our new home on Green Mountain but it was difficult to get anyone to come to our property to give us an estimate but Johnson Pool did. We were ready to move forward but didn't hear from them so decided maybe they were not interested so, we found another contractor and moved forward with our project. It became a disaster and we ended up with a pool in the ground but the contractor never came back. I contacted Johnson Pool and, thankfully, they were willing to help us complete the project that I thought would never happen! We finally have the beautiful backyard we had dreamed about and a pool that our family and friends can enjoy with us! The entire staff went above and beyond and the photos speak for themselves - we love it!! We highly recommend Johnson Pool to anyone who might be considering a pool project.

We hired Johnson Pools to bring our backyard oasis to life. Every stage of the project - from going over ideas to product selection to the install and post-install service was managed impeccably. They worked hand-in-hand with our contractor responsible for the pool house without us having to be a middleman - which we greatly appreciated. Took a little longer than expected (mostly due weather happening at the most unfortunate times), but we are very pleased with the final result.
Our Project Manager, Eddie was amazing. Proactive communication was a given and he went above and beyond in making sure we were satisfied and everything was just like we wanted it - even driving all the way up here on several occasions. Definitely would recommend Johnson Pools to anyone - and already have to several folks

We couldn’t be more thrilled with the entire experience we had with Johnson Pools for our new inground pool installation! From start to finish, they exceeded all our expectations and we are absolutely thrilled with the final results. I was particularly happy with their project manager (Eddie) — The communication throughout the process was top-notch. We were kept informed at every stage and any questions we had were answered promptly and thoroughly. The team was also friendly, approachable, and genuinely invested in ensuring we were happy with the progress.

I would give a negative if I could. Went in with my husband and no one even got up to offer to help us. We were treated as if we were beneath everyone. I would not recommend them to anyone

If you are choosing any pool related article or service, FIND ANOTHER COMPANY. Please read the reviews. The people and service are great and all smiles but they often fail to deliver and then they do not know you. The management feels absolutely no responsibility to the customer or the situation. I asked them to close my pool in the fall and install a new liner in the spring. They took my money and installed the liner but then said they are not taking new customers . So I was left with a 30,000 gallon pool of tap water and they refused to open the pool or to balance the water. If it had not been for another company, I would have 30,000 gallons of green sludge in my new liner and Johnson pool would not help or care. Do not use this company unless you are comfortable with the same treatment.

I would absolutely recommend this company. I can say we definitely put them through the ringer. They remained professional, informative, and helped guide us through every crazy question we through at them. At one point, four different people were calling the office about 1 pump! If we need any type of future service done, I will definitely be calling them. Thank you so much again!

Terrible experience with support and follow-up customer service. Was sold a pump with a 6 month warranty and not informed of the warranty. Pump lasted less than a year. I would expect a quality company to only sell quality parts or at least provide loyal customers with a 1 year warranty at the least. It took effort to get get an agent to discuss the matter only to inform me they will do NOTHING, not even a discount. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN.

They are very helpful and pleasant to work with. They helped me find a part to my old sand filter that the manufacturer could not even help me find.They are my new pool store. I would recommend to any pool owners.

BLUF: Lack of communication is the #1 challenge for Johnson Pools. My experience with them makes me wish I had never installed a pool. Note: I have no issue with the employees on a personal level. 22JUN22 Received pool contract from Johnson Pools and never received invoice for first required payment. 15AUG22 Went into office to make initial payment. 16Sep22 Pool ordered. I asked about the status of pool multiple times SEP 22 – MAR 23. No updates provided unless I asked. 14APR23 Pool installation began. Days prior to that, workers showed up and started prepping the yard. No one told me they would be there. 4MAY23 I asked why no work being done on pool for past 11 workdays. Told that compared to other companies they do their work better and faster. Called them and was told electrician needed to wire pool equipment and grounding wire and have it inspected. Previous talks with Project Manager (PM) were for me to tell them who I was going to use, and PM would coordinate with electrician when ready for the electricians to come. I told them who I was going to use. But then I was told I had to coordinate for electrician. Was told to have electrician schedule inspection. Electrician said it was PM’s job. Electrical work finally resolved 16MAY23. 23MAY23 Came home to pool pump turned on for first time with pump not primed. 24MAY23 Wrong pool slide delivered. Eventually correct slide delivered, but with wrong hardware. Ordered new hardware, incorrect hardware delivered. (slide was outsourced to another company) Slide eventually got put together, but I had to routinely ask about it. MAY – AUG 23 – Multiple issues I had to address. To be fair, when I had issues and discussed them with the PM, items were addressed eventually. I just had to keep asking them to get them done. If you do not stay involved in the process, things could be missed or take longer than you would like. Some examples of challenges I had: Workers buried drainage lines in wrong location. Had to have them moved to correct location. Scheduled time for PM to come out to house, agreed to a time, but PM did not show - No call or heads up provided. Had to keep reminding about pop up drains to be installed, but when installed, not installed properly, fixed them myself. When fence was put back up multiple boards broken, no action taken on their own, I had to ask them to fix it. Other times was told workers would be at the house, but then would not show up. I had to create and send a punch list via group texts to ensure everyone was on the same page. I asked multiple times for better communication on what was going on and status. Was told they had hired a person to do customer outreach, but when I got emails from her, it was a one liner telling me things that had already happened. Asked for colored concrete deck, color was inconsistent and lacking in some parts. PM said that’s what happens with colored concrete. I had issues with uneven surfaces of the concrete as well. Was told by PM my standards were too high and the work was good enough/not that bad. Decided to let the texture of the concrete go and asked them to fix the color. Came to resolution on 12AUG23 to stain the concrete a darker color (did not charge me more money for it). 18SEP23 showed up to pressure wash deck to prep for staining, no coordination made, so I had to turn them away due to landscaper on site grading yard/sodding. This is NOT an all-inclusive list of challenges with this pool project. If you are looking to have a pool installed, then I would not recommend Johnson Pools. PM is not able to be at every job site every day and I think this greatly affects the quality of work. I originally went to Southern Scape, but their prices were higher than Johnson Pools. So, I do not know who to recommend to anyone for a good pool construction company in Huntsville, AL that can communicate, manage, and deliver an A+ pool project experience.
