“Julie in Decatur was very pleasant, helpful, and easy to work with on a new kitchen counter and backsplash order (we went with quartz on both). On install day, the installer called me and told me that I was on the schedule for later that day, and they had two installs to do ahead of me. They gave me a two-hour window that they were shooting for. After I sat waiting at the house for two hours, they showed up about 30 minutes later with the wrong counter pieces, so they were unable to begin the install. They rescheduled me for the next day and installed my counter tops but did not caulk any of the top where the quartz backsplash met the walls except in one location. When I asked why they hadn't caulked they said that was "painters caulk" and not in their scope of work. They beat up my newly installed door frame and sheetrock on both ends of the kitchen and said those things "just happen" with the install...now I'm paying my contractor to caulk and clean up the damage they did to the door frame and walls.

The counter tops looked great. The backsplash behind the oven was not cut correctly, the veining in the quartz on the backsplash of the oven piece does not match the veining on the piece to the right and it is very distinct. These two pieces were sized small enough they could have easily been cut from one slab so that they lined up appropriately.

FOLLOW-UP EDIT: Nicole reached out to me and reviewed the install pictures. She agreed that the two slabs to the left of the oven needed to be fixed since the veining was not running the correct way. Nicole offered to replace the slabs but could not guarantee further damage to the sheetrock or cabinets due to their installation clause in their contract. I told her we were unwilling to risk damaging the new cabinets and walls and would be content with NSC covering the additional cost we had to pay our contractor to caulk, mud, paint, trim the damage. Nicole reviewed my contractor's bill and refunded us the damage. We appreciated the company's effort to resolve the issues.”

“Prices were comparable or better than other plumbing supply stores around town. They were out of a couple items I needed but, I've been experiencing that everywhere I go lately. Seems like decent folks. They had an answer for all my questions.I did notice their hours are different than what google shows though. Guy at the counter said (6:30-4:30 M-F) & (7:30-11 Sat). I think they're the only plumbing supply in town that's open on Saturday.”

The store was clean and pretty well organized, which made it easy to walk around without feeling rushed. They had a good mix of basic items and some nicer decor pieces too. Prices seemed fair compared to other places in town. One of the employees asked if I needed help and actually knew where everything was, which I appreciated. Checkout took a little time but nothing crazy. Overall it was a solid experience and I’d probably come back when I need stuff for the house.”
