I will be so happy to finally have an alternative to this overpriced garbage service. I have called and called about not getting anywhere near the speeds I'm paying for, for a year, and still nothing is better, if anything it's worse. I'm barely getting any service at all instead of the Gig I pay for, nothing works right because the internet speed is as slow as dial up but I'm paying over $200 a month for this garbage. If you have any choice besides this company don't walk but run to avoid this garbage.

If I could give them -10 stars I would. Want to their office on Ware and paid for service. Service guy came out and tried to scam me a 81year old woman out of $138 of more work that was not needed, already set up for it, and my son told him to leave. NO WORK was done, oil stain on my new concrete driveway from him parking on it and not in the street in his old truck.Have called over 5 times for refund but NO REFUND AS IF 10/10/23. Only promises that they are going to send it. They won't even send me a confirmation or email that they are doing the refund.THIS A COMPANY THAT STEALING MONEY FROM PEOPLE WHO HONESTLY WANT SERVICE AND CAN'T GET IT. Please!!!!! JUST REFUND MY MONEYDaniel. . . Have called enough and just want my refund. How hard is that for you to do. No more talking and promising to me. Actions speak louder than words. You give the same responce to all of us who have a complaint. Standard boiler plate remarks????REFUND MY MONEY. PLEASE!!!!

Did not experience anything like the negative reviews indicated, overall we had a pleasant experience with mediacom. We never had any issues with connectivity or speed and any time we had to go in to the office with questions or issues they were able to help resolve it quickly.Only things keeping it from 5 stars are that the app was dated/limited compared to the others in the industry and it was pricier than the basic packages available with other competitors in Huntsville (ones that didn’t offer coverage in our new area).

Horrible. Let me tell you about our time with Mediacom. We’ve been with them forever. Over the 8 months they’ve come out here and “fixed” the internet multiple times. They’ve replaced the router each and every time yet we still have issues a month or two later. Yesterday I realized I had no upload speed. Called them and told them I’m tired of this and I wanted to speak to a supervisor (which I’ve never done before) the supervisor did the same thing as always and was unhelpful. They used to have a “tier 3” team that was AMAZING but they got rid of it. I wasnt told they got rid of it until I finally talked to a supervisor last night. Each time I called after that they acted like that never existed, finally last night they tell me there is this special tech team thats 9$ a month, we add it to our bill and come to find out all they can do is regular trouble shooting and they did NOT tell me that when they asked if I wanted it. And they knew that. More money down the drain. We have always waited however long it takes for them to get out here with the internet problems. Finally last night I asked them to PLEASE get out here sooner than they claimed they could and I know it’s possible because one of the technicians came out when we weren’t on the schedule at the very beginning of our issues, but alas they said no. I told them we would be getting a different provider. If there is ANYWAY you can keep from having this provider for internet.. do it. The headaches and problems we have had are NOT worth the headache this company has caused us. Even my 5 year old was frustrated last night with the internet. Multiple times the technicians have said they would do something and stop back by to let us know they did it… that never happened. They said they’d check back to see how the internet was. That never happened. This company and their technicians will tell you everything you want to hear but never follow through to show they care about their customers.. with the way internet is expanding and the many options available, there is always something better than Mediacom I have realized.. I wanted to believe so badly that they were a good company but they have not shown that when I look back on our experience with them. I was upset last night when I finally asked to speak to a supervisor which I’ve NEVER done before, even with all the issues we’ve had, and nothing was done to keep us as a customer. We’ve been lied to about things that would fix our internet for good, got rid of our TV in the living room because they said that would fix it, that did not. I have explained to them that many people work from home and need their internet access and they just do not care. They have made that very clear. I am not asking for special treatment. I am asking them to fix this wrong and show some effort and instead they have shown they do not care about their customers and keeping them. This is not a spiteful post, this is a warning to those who need reliable internet.. again many work from home and NEED internet.. I will not stay silent on the problems and disappointments I’ve had from this company and I told them that. Again if you can get ANYONE else.. do it.. I’m glad to be done with this company. Big shout out to all the other companies I talked to who were kind, understanding, and helpful. All they had to do was get someone out today. Again we have always waited for our appointment. And they didn’t care to do that and keep us as a customer. I see they reply to reviews to “fix” it. I gave you all a chance to fix it this morning And Last night. It’s too late. The responses to reviews are just like all the times they have lied to us to try to act like they care. Again, they have just shown us it’s an act and to try to keep you around, but nothing ever really gets fixed. Im very sad we’ve had this experience, but it is what it is..

So far I have not received any of my services and have called constantly and they always seem to blame someone else. They had no problem withdrawing the money from my account but can't seem to do the job. This has been the worst experience. If I could get any other service where I live I would totally choose someone else to deal with. My kids are in school and need WiFi for homework and mediacom can't seem to get it together. I am so over this process and the lies.Frustrated Customer

Had Mediacom about 3 months now and out of the three months there hasn't been a single day I haven't had to reset my router numerous times. Why pay such a high price for something I can't even use the way I want. Think that company will reimburse me for something I can't use? Nope. I think it's the worst Internet service since I was using dial up.

Five times we've lost internet, cable, etc and 5 times they start with a technician that can't fix it because it's a maintenance problem and it continues that way. Now is the 6th time with the same results, no support from Mediacom.

The service is awful. You have to wait at least a week to get a technician out, and there is little to no help on the weekend. Currently, we are experiencing issues with our modem(this is the second time this year that this has happened), and we can't take it in until Monday(it's Friday). We went ahead and scheduled a tech to come in case getting a new modem doesn't work, but they won't be able to come until the next Saturday. So we are potentially out of wifi for a week. If you can find a different provider, I strongly recommend you do so.

I've had internet access through many companies I've the years. Media in is the absolute worst. When it goes down, it stays down for extended periods of time. Sadly, they are a monopoly in my are and have no accountability. Their price is steep as well. I long for the day when another provider brings in fiber out here. I will be done with Mediacom forever.

This company is a scam. Their support can't help with anything. Their installers will hold you up for weeks. Really to top it off I asked them to set up auto pay twice and was assured that it was set up the second time they called about a late bill. They never used the autopay and disconnected my service. Now they want me to pay a $50 connection fee when it should have never been disconnected to begin with.

It's incredible that now, for the 2nd time in a month, I am to be without internet service for a week's time AND Mediacom has the gall to not only charge me for the full month but also for unnecessary equipment that they never bothered to pick up when fixing the issue somewhere on the line. All this while leaving a fiber line unburied across my yard.I don't know why the service has been so unreliable lately but I suppose that's the tradeoff for trying to save $30 a month compared to the local "competition", which is still way more expensive than most other providers in the county.Edit: I will say that the technicians have been knowledgeable and extremely helpful.

this company advertises 99.9% reliability that is not true at all half the time the Internet is down. I must have to call an Internet connection at least once or twice a month to have a problem repaired. In fact I'm having to wait for a technician to come in three days that means we would be three days without service.

Terrible customer service to start with, not to mention the outages every time it rains. Recently had a tree Fall their lines; technician put same damaged line back onto pole 10’ lower than previously installed. Now after three calls to “escalated” customer service I’m told that they cannot raise the line back to its previous height.??Absolute joke trying to get somebody to assist with any issues related to their services

New Customer. Trouble getting my service connected. It took 2 days to get it connected. They sent a technician twice to fix it, and then the technician had to call the Eeuro company to get it fixed. He eventually had to switch out the modem and spend about 3 hours on the phone trying to fix it. I gave 3 stars because it has been working okay since then, but because I work from home, I missed 2 days of work.

Mediacom stays on blast on our local community FB groups. I always have to inject that we’ve had Mediacom since 2001. We’ve had very few outages and they are resolved quickly, if you stop by the Ware Drive office they will credit you for the time lost. We’ve had a couple of Cable boxes go out, pretty easy to diagnose, then take the box in at Ware Drive and they swap it out. Our last bill was forty dollars higher so I compared to bills over the last year. Our bundle was going into its third and last year, and next March would increase by more than a hundred dollars. We had been thinking of cutting the cable if we couldn’t get a better discount our bundle. When I looked to the webpage there was nothing offered for current customers, only new. Current had to call retention to discuss new rates and options. I do not like business over the phone, and after the countless times on the webpage, only leading to customer service retention, I was already sideways when Heather answered. But she was skilled in/at listening and then responding in a manner that deescalated the tension I brought to the call. Soon we was talking about the cable market and broadcaster demands driving up cable rates. We talked about the year of missed Fox TV in my market because of TEGNA’s contract dispute. We even talked some football and baseball. But we couldn’t get to a discount for the internet data rates, but did agree dropping cable for local antenna and streaming would be a better option. I told her I need to think on it, and that I appreciated the conversation and time. Over the next couple of days I was told about the web address for the local rate code, which had the current rates for every thing available in my area. The rates were lower than quoted. After comparing with other customers I called back and spoke with Morgan, another champion. I told him about the rates posted and he then found a special that would double my data, keep the phone (my wife is old fashioned and doesn’t want to give up the land line) for the price of my current internet rate. Done deal! We had to go through the new entries on his side and chatted while doing so. I told him how Mediacom is always catching a bad rep on social media and that I’ve never had problems, and the customer service at the store has been exceptional, especially him and Heather. When finished and asked if I had anything else I talk him again I appreciated the help and I know they have to deal with some really angry people. I finished with “ I’m sure most of the one’s complaining about service actually have a short between their keyboard and seat”. Got a laugh, but as I fully understand he said he can’t touch on that and one. I’m happy to sign on for a few more years. Reliability is great, but customer service is awesome! And I’m saving $60 a month, and more the next year.
