Usually I go in during afternoons, and the experience isn't the greatest. But this week, I went in first thing in the morning and I found ALL of the employees to be polite, helpful, and pleasant. They were trying to assist me with a problem, and ultimately couldn't get me an answer, but Rod in particular was such a pleasure to work with -- he was concerned for my privacy (encouraged me to write down, rather than state out loud, certain information that he needed to research my issue), and just generally came across as a good guy. A carrier happened to be in line behind me, and he greeted me right away, offered to supplement any assistance that I got at the counter. It was hard to believe it was the same post office, honestly!

I was having issues with my mail not being delivered to my new address. Alice went out of her way to drive to my house after her shift to personally deliver me my mail. It was above and beyond and I appreciated it very much. Thank you for the great service!

Thankful for this location. They are always helpful and patient. The young lady, Jayeda (sp?), kept the best attitude despite being the only employee working up front, with a long line of people.

UPDATES no real changes, letters are lost and opened, especially if they look like celebration cards that might contain gift cards or checks. We basically tell everyone not to send cards by mail because the they are stollen.
Update, nothing has changed or improved. I was contacted but then ghosted from any further communication. The facts are:
1) Our week day carrier is doing well
2) weekend and now holiday is just utterly incompetent, we shipped 2 boxes a week ago, one was relieved in FL, but 2nd shows never left Huntsville and no response or help.
3) seasonal help never attempts delivery either.
At this point there is no point trusting the postal service. You can also count on never getting cards with gift cards either as they are always lost, stange how that happens..
Bad review get flagged and a call is made, but no follow up or anything else.

Worst customer service ever. The clerk was rude, condescending, and lazy. Only a government employee could do that bad of a job and still be employed. No wonder the Postal Service is losing millions of dollars a year. Couldn’t happen to more deserving people

Workers do not care, basic effort is not given at all. Phone is never answered and they took my amazon return from my front door that was clearly marked as UPS, so now I am down $50.

I cannot speak highly enough about the USPS Passport guy (I am so sorry for not remembering his name!). I made an appointment at the USPS on Wynn Drive only to be told that they don’t take appointments on Friday. I went to the Whitesburg one hoping to get in as a walk-in. The guy told me that they don’t take any walk-ins. I asked if he could help answer some questions since I had a rough time at the Wynn Drive location after being turned away with making an appointment. He let me in, took my picture for the passport, and processed my paperwork all within 8 minutes. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. He made the whole experience and my day 100% better. I hope anyone who is looking for help with their passport has the privilege to work with him because he was so kind. If he ever sees this, thank you, again!

Every single employee here needs to go on a meditation retreat. Nasty people with nasty attitudes.

USPS clerk on this place at this date 7/22/24 and time 2:30 is very rude and unprofessional, giving comments about people ordering stuff online and should stay off from the internet like she can control everyone’s lives, she has no room to give comments first of all she’s a post office employee and should be mindful about what she says, also talked about post office employees not wanting to deliver amazon packages because they received a bunch full of amazon package pallets and that they don’t wanna deliver, this was the second time we had experienced packages that won’t fit on the mail box and they mark them as “mail box is full”, they never attempt to drop it off on front of my house, they don’t even leave a note on the mail box. So employees just don’t wanna do their job which is not an excuse, they chose to work for USPS and they should do their job, if they complain about dealing with amazon packages they better off finding a different job. This old lady at the post office today is just beyond rude as we are so nice talking to her, we even said thank you when she handed the package that she said it wasn’t at the post office in the first place but it’s actually there. this lady has not in the mood to her job and should be fired for being unprofessional and LAZY. I don’t know why every time this post office always has one employee up front. there should be always two
people with the amount of people coming in. Someone needs to do something on this issue because this treatment that people getting is unacceptable.

Rod is a real superstar, he makes the whole post office experience pleasant. He is very friendly and helpful. We’re always hoping Rod is there whenever we need to go to the post office because he takes good care of his customers. USPS should give thanks to Rod, he’s the reason we haven’t gone to FedEx.

LAZY delivery drivers! Package late and did NOT attempt to deliver package as information states.
