Rude staff and incompetent. Gave my daughter the wrong prescription for her cat. She discovered the error after first dose and called them … “ they said take it away because it could be lethal” … offered no apology…. Still charged full…. Caused my daughter lots of emotional grief and the staff is always rude. Don’t go here … rude, incompetent and inconsiderate.

We adopted a fifteen month old dog from a local rescue group approximately two years ago. According to her vet records she had been treated for heart worms but unfortunately the treatment was unsuccessful. At her first visit to WAH she tested slightly positive for heart worms but it sometimes takes six to nine months before they no longer test positive. After settling into her new home with us we began noticing that she was becoming more and more lethargic. That began an approximately six month journey and many diagnostic tests to discover why she was unwell. Dr. Armstrong and Dr. Jenner as well as all of the staff could not have been more kind, patient, understanding and thorough in taking care of our pet. After ruling out any other diseases and illnesses and continuing to test positive for heart worms we all agreed to go through with treating her again for heart worms which is takes about three months. After treatment we started to slowly see her true personality and she has a BIG personality! She makes us laugh a lot and has brought our family so much joy. We will be forever grateful to the vets and staff at Whitesburg Animal Hospital for all of their efforts to make our pet well.

I recently moved to AL leaving behind an amazing vet. And just like how it’s hard to find a pcp for us, it’s hard to find a vet or is absolutely amazing. I had my first visit the other day here and one of my dogs got so anxious he started to have a seizure (first one in his life, he’s 2.5hrs old, an Aussie-doodle) I picked him up off the ground with my other dog right behind us and walked into the office stating I need help he’s having a seizure. They all agreed, and took him out back immediately. Dr. Hall was who my dog saw that day and she was beyond amazing. She took her time with my dogs and myself. I’m still in shock. I go back next week since she said we should give him vaccines after such a traumatic start of the day… hands down, this vet office is amazing! They all came over to help my dog out and make sure I was okay. Wasn’t how I wanted to start my day, but I’m seriously so grateful for how quick and responsive everyone was!! Thank you!!

We have used Whitesburg Animal Hospital since moving to Alabama. They are easy to talk to and work to make your visit pleasant. Dr. Kelly Hall is our vet, and I can't say enough about how wonderful she is. She is very compassionate and knowledgeable. She is great at working with us to figure out what is going on with our pets. I highly recommend this animal hospital for any of your pet needs.

They did AMAZING with my puppy MOLLY ?Very nice people at the receptionist I felt very comfortable for my first visit there for Molly's first examination, she also got spayed there + bunch of vaccinations that they strongly recommended to us they found out that she has worms so that explains why she was sicks the last days and keeps having diarrhea poor sweet heart , we are blessed that they found it and immediately dewormer her with our full agreement ? They did give us an estimation about the spay + vaccinations , the price was $150 more than the estimation so fortunately for us it wasn't double price and was still fine for us to afford this price ☺️ Thank you!

They are always kind, respectful, over the top helpful. Everything is explained, options are given, with price estimates. They treat my Chaos like a queen. She is always excited when we get there. I highly recommend them.

I brought in a mom cat, and kittens to get checked for their first annual and was not impressed. The ladies at the receptionist desk were very nice, and wanted to hear all about the cats. When I went into the exam room was a different story. The assistant just seemed like she hated her job, and hated animals. She was nice enough to example in detail how much it would all cost at least, and gave us an estimate. The doctor was nice.I call the receptionist to set up another appointment for second round of shots, and ask about pricing and the lady says, "oh the doctor will talk about that with you on the day of your appointment." I thought that was strange. When we get to out appointment, we are seeing a different doctor. Once again, doctor is nice but the assistant has a horrible attitude. Whenever the assistant comes in she says, "ok getting 2 shots each cat?" We say, "yes." Then she says, "well do you wanna add this test, or this test, and extra shot?" She just kept pushing us to do more and pay more. They must do it a lot here, because the first time I came, they were being pushy about adding more tests, and judged you if you didn't do it.As we go to leave and pay, the bill is twice as much as I thought it would be. (I kept the receipt from the first time) It was not communicated to me that prices increased on each item, they charged me adult price on each cat, even though they gave me a "litter discount" the first time, (which is half off each kitten), they didn't want to honor that discount the second time. It was not communicated with me that in order to get second round of shots, you have to have another exam. I stated several times I had never owned cats, so it should have been brought up then. The assistant says ,"well we can't take off the price of the exam cause we already did it."Needless to say, this places cares about money, not about animals.

We loved that the location was able to get our pets in on short notice, but the issues came after that. Our pets had been scheduled for a suite, but they didn't put them in one. We asked for our pets to be washed and groomed, but when we picked them up, they told us they could not because they needed to be sedated. We told them on the forms we filled out two different times, that it was okay to sedate them. They said it had to be pre-scheduled when we picked them up. I explained to them that the forms did not show that nor did their office tell us that when we called prior to dropping them off or the day we dropped them off. The office said yes, we can, and then they did not. I had to ask them to take the grooming off since they still had it on the close out bill. When we picked them up, both pets were in the same carrier, and they could not find our second carrier for a while. Once they found it, we noticed that the food we provided was at the same level that we dropped them off with before we went out of town. It's not a good impression in our eyes, but I also know that things happen. I appreciate the office for watching our pets, but we will find another place in the future.

If I could give zero stars I would, DO NOT USE the boarding services.. the most horrible experience… they told us someone would be there 24/7… they did not, my dogs were left for 13 hours without being taken out, all their toys were soaked in urine when we picked them up, they acted like they had not had water in over a day, they alsoTold us it would be $180 for both my dogs and we picked them up and it was $700. All they kept saying was , I’m so sorry ma’am. It was a horrible experience and we are changing vets now because we refuse to give them another dime! They were cruelTo my dogs… and did not care at all
