And again I wouldn't leave a star if I could! We have just spent $1500 to get the drive way fixed and the carrier for Nesbit Lake Road still will not deliver packages. She leaves a slip to let me know i have a package at the post office! WHAT PART OF I DO NOT HAVE A CAR IS NOT UNDERSTANDABLE? We have dont what was asked and we still have a lazy carrier who refuses to do her job, as well as the post master at this location is allowing her to get away with it!

Pro tip. If you're gonna be closed early today and all day the next day, don't tell me that my expensive package will be delivered today (while it is raining). I work overnight, so I waited all day on fumes, waiting for my package to arrive so I may sleep eventually, because I was under the impression I was getting it today, given that my tracker says so. You know, my tracker that hasn't updated in two entire days for some reason? It still says I'm getting it today, but I know darn well I won't be seeing it until Monday.

The last 4-5 months with our newer driver has been an absolute joke. She does not want to get out of the vehicle and has literally stuffed 5-6 packages in our mailbox and lied on the tracking saying the driveway was blocked. Now that we have a random dog that has shown up(the sweetest dog by the way) she is using the fact that there is a dog in the yard as her excuse to not deliver packages that she can't shove in our mailbox. We sat at the table and watched her pull away one Saturday with our daughters formula instead of trying to deliver it, we were clearly home she could have honked but instead my husband had to chase her down. We have cameras and video of UPS, FedEx, and even random drivers for Walmart delivering packages without issue.

Absolute bottom of the barrel employees here. Couldn’t care less if they make mistakes and inconvenience their customers. Needed a money order, so based on their prior incompetence I write it down on an envelope in BOLD numbers. They F it up anyway and then want me to wait an hour to fix it. Then the guy that’s always disheveled and unshaved, wants to get an attitude because of his stupidity. Pathetic location with even more pathetic “management”. They have no clue and couldn’t care less. The older gentleman with a beard and glasses is the only valuable employee in the building.

Putting packages in wrong mail box can cost lots of problems some mail carriers need glasses

Our current mail carrier has given us nothing but problems since she has started. When we first moved here, we didn't have any problems. But then we got a new lady and my husband has attempted to report her multiple times, nothing is ever done! I stayed home today because Friday we had a pink slip on the door for something we needed to sign for, today when my husband came home and checked the mail she had stuck a slip in my mailbox instead of even attempting to deliver it. When I called the post office to ask why she didn't deliver the package, she proceeds to tell me, it isn't the mail ladies job to bring it to me...? A letter I have to sign for? It's not her job to have me sign for it?! This is ridiculous! If they can't do their jobs correctly, how are they still employed there?! Do better!

My mail was left on the ground next to a package. Some envelopes had checks in them. This has happened several times. Customer correspondence that was mailed was never recieved by me. Customer's have has to resend payment due to lost and torn mail. I was behind my mailcarrier and she stopped and put mail in box and drove on. I knew a package was scheduled for delivery, but when I checked mail box there was a note that said attempt delivery. She never pulled into my driveway.

I see now why this post office has 2.4 stars There’s no consistency. Just bought a house with roommates and there’s was no mailbox. I had packages ordered months before I came to campus and when they out for delivery they held it. I understand that’s the law and that’s fine but. There’s an option for re-delivery or pick up the next day. I picked up two packages that way. They were there for 2 days. The 3rd package had came so I went to pick it up the next day and this smart a** older guy up front with glasses. Made it seem like it was all my fault. He kept giving the the runaround for a week saying “they didn’t check, come back tomorrow.” Now today I went and he told me they sent it back. When I had multiple chances to pick it up before that could happen.

Excellent, polite service. Occasionally I get mail intended for someone else, but overall I rate the Jacksonville P.O. highly.

Not very familiar with the operations here yet, but clearly the older man that many reviewers mention is very tired of his job, and absolutely hates the idea even of customer service. Very little patience or politeness with customers prior to my turn. Seems like an ongoing problem for many people that have left bad reviews here and on other social media platforms.
