Would leave 0 stars if possible horrible company bad customer service awful people takes over a month to receive propane rude when you call and try and talk to someone and also they tell you one price when you order than charge something entirely different

I was a UPG customer for several years, and they USED TO BE the best around. Apparently after the company was sold out to an entity based in Dublin, Ireland, customer service became nonexistent. Their local office closed, and no notification was made to their customers; they just disappeared. Their prices used to be the best as well, but I have no idea if that is still true because you can’t find out anything, since all you get when calling is a recording. I’m done trying to work with them and setup an online account to buy propane…I’d rather pay more and deal with REAL PEOPLE.

The only reason I am leaving a 1 star rating is because I can't go lower !!! You can never get a person when you call and they always have some lame reason why. POOR customer service! Check your bill closely, many fees they don't tell you about.

I am very disappointed in the service from this company. My 84 year old mother has been their customer for several years. She called last week, because she noticed her propane was around 10%. They took her order, and a week went by. She is now at 5%. She called to see when they would be filling her tank, and was told it would be 3-4 weeks! She has never been told that she needed to order that far in advance. The weather has turned colder and she is sitting in her house with the heat off to conserve the gas she has. This is unacceptable. When her gas runs out in a couple of days, she will have no heat, no hot water, no dryer, and will have no way to cook. In other words, she cannot live in her own home because of their mismanagement. She has been ordering gas for 60 years, and she has never had to wait this long. When I called, they said it was not a supply issue, but a delivery issue due to lack of drivers. Maybe they should pay their drivers better to attract more employees. I don't know. But I do know they should have called their customers to let them know there was an issue to avoid this type of situation. They say there is nothing they can do. I only gave two stars because the woman I spoke to was so nice, and truly seemed to care about our dilemma. As it is, I will likely take my mom home with me when I go home on Friday (400 miles away). We can't be the only ones in a bind. People with small children or sick family members are in the same predicament. It is not "an inconvenience." It basically makes her home unlivable. If we forced her to live in such circumstances, we would be charged with elder abuse.

Very rude customer service. Called in over two weeks ago to set up a NEW account. After being told over a week ago the driver would be out I called to confirm delivery. The lady on the phone I believe her name was Debra or Debbie was probably the most condescending and rudest person I’ve ever talked too. She told me that my delivery will come whenever the driver decided to call me and that was that. I hung up with her and the more I thought about this the less and less I wanted to spend my money with a company like this. I called back and lucky me same person answered. I informed her that I needed to cancel my order with them and the first thing she says is “ will we need to pick up our tank” I advised her I owned my tank and had never done business with them to which she tried to say she thought different and needed to verify that as she made sarcastic noises. I waited until she realized she was wrong and then hung up on her. There are better companies out there that know customers have choices not sure why anybody would want to spend their money with a company that treats people this way.
