Enjoy shopping here. Very similar to big box sporting goods stores with a small town feel.

I really love how they treat their customers. They also offer military discounts.

I went in to purchase a smith and wesson fpc, they did not have one in stock, so ? I looked at what they did have and decided on a different rifle. The rifle was on sale, good for me, and I purchased a 500 round box ? of Aguila 22 long rifle ammo, bad for me! Every 3rd round was a misfire, out of 75 rounds I had 26 misfires. I am convinced it is not the rifle. DO NOT BUY AGUILA ? brand ammo!! Otherwise, my experience was ok, people were nice and helpful. Nuff said...

I had a negative experience in the Guns and Ammunition Department at Dunham’s in Jasper. There is almost always a shortage of employees (or zero employees) to serve the patrons in the department. We were also referred to as, “the older couple are back” in front of other customers. Instead, we departed and I purchased the same weapon at Pat’s Archery (500 yards away) for $60 less than Dunham’s price and received a 10% discount because I am a Veteran. Dunham’s does not give veterans a discount. There are always an adequate number of knowledgeable and friendly employees in the gun department at Pat’s. In the future, we will not be returning to Dunham’s.

Called in to the store ahead of time for a revolver and the clerk was helpful from the time I first called to the time I left with the firearm. Tanner was very knowledgeable and made the process super simple and entertaining. If you’re looking for a firearm, seek Tanner!

Dunhams website for Japser advertised a pair boots for 69.99, went into thw store and the same boots were 109. The website says in store only but the store would not honor it. When the store manager came to the register she had a huge attitude like it was bothersome for her to talk to customers. Very poor customer service during this interaction.

Dunham’s operates separate from the Jasper Mall. You can only enter from the outside, and they offer later hours which is great. The service is good, about what you’d expect. The store is clean and offers a large selection of sports and outdoor equipment—including a good hunting section, something many sporting goods stores have reduced or eliminated.

I should give you a 1 star because of the staff that waited on me February 8 2023. I purchased a Rough Rider revolver and High Point 9 MM. I ask the person that sold them to me what kind of issues they had with them. I was told hardly any, and don't believe all the reviews. I should have believed the reviews, I carried them home and loaded the 22 magnum. I fired 4 rounds and the firing pin stuck, I had a time getting the cylinder out to unload it. They don't want and I would not take a loaded firearm back for repair. The second untrue statement was it only took one or two weeks to get a weapon back, sent in for repair. It took more than 4 weeks, the High Point slide had some drag on it and I had trouble with releasing the slide to close, it was gone over 5 weeks. The rest of my dealings with Dunham employees were pleasant and respectful. When I carried the pistols back for warranty work, they didn't offer any paperwork, so I ask for a receipt showing that I brought them in for repair. They told me that they didn't give a receipt for repairs, I ask them to write something on a piece of paper. I was told that they could not do that, I have carried a few things in for warranty work in years past and always received a receipt showing that I had bought an item in for repair. I got the revolver back and it worked fine the 9MM I only fired 2 clips but the last round in each clip didn't load into the chamber. Dunham in Jasper has a policy of no returns on guns and ammo it doesn't matter if it was bad from the factory. I think part of the High Point problem was bad ammo I purchased with it.

I sent my child’s stepmom here to get cleats for our son yesterday. Come to find out I had accidentally given her my other child shoe size. She went back to get them exchanged. Now note: She’s from GA not from Walker county jasper. That would’ve been the second time ever she’d been in there. I am the one who raved ab the store and asked could she make the trip there to get the cleats really quick. When she was given the receipt it was ONLY a coupon. Not the physical receipt. She did not realize this until the cashier pointed it out. Ok fine, not a huge deal. The cashier asked what I’m assuming was a manager or supervisor to the front. The supervisor ( middle aged possibly with blonde hair in a bun) came up and was incredibly rude to the step mom. Made rude comments like “It’s on the front of every register.” Now she was in a hurry both days and didn’t notice the policy on the register. Policy is policy and she understood that but the manager being belittling her and making comments like “Nope, can’t do anything!” Is beyond unprofessional. I called and asked for the supervisor myself to speak to her about this and right away she tried to get a attitude with me also so I’d imagine I mightve been speaking to the same supervisor the stepmom did. I was kind but stern the entire conversation and reminded her that you never know how somebody’s day is going so a little grace and kindness goes a long way. It was not a issue ab exchanging but being down right rude to a customer isn’t acceptable. In order for any business to thrive great customer care and finding solutions or being kind when explaining policies can go a long way. She was so upset at how she was talked to she walked away in tears. I am Embarrassed that I ref Her to the store and this happened to her. Do better management and remember kindness goes a long way.

The store has a lot of good products, but let's be honest. They have low price stickers on everything an that just isn't true in my experience there. I've found that most stuff there is marked up an can most likely be bought at a lesser price in other stores. I've been there a few times but only for certain things like ammo, or related items. Which is close to prices at other store. I'm not saying everything is to high but pretty much most of it but that's just my opinion. But if it makes you feel good to pay way more for a product then by all means this is the store for you. Myself I prefer to pay less

The prices were relatively outrageous, as are many specialty departments stores. There was a lot of merchandise and most things were in-stock, but the prices are not competitive at all.

It's okay it's okay everything is just really expensive though and you don't realize you can go down the road to TJ Maxx and get some of the same stuff for a hell of a lot cheaper

Nice and clean, prices might be a little high but at least they have the items you need.

Since this place makes me feel like a kid in a toy store, its top 5 for me. I shopped Dunham's religiously when i lived in eastern Indiana. Sadly, this is the first and only one I've seen since moving in 2012. Ten years later, i still have to try and keep the inner child contained. Otherwise, my attention span becomes 0.5 seconds, im touching everything.
