I was looking for a used golf cart to use around my property and decided to check out The Storage Place, as they were the closest, local business to me. A plus for me was that it's a family owned business.
Let's get the basics out of the way: They have a large selection of used carts both gas & electric. With 2, 4, or even 6 passenger carts as well as some golf carts with utility dump beds . There is an on-- sight repair shop with several mechanics that really know their stuff. The competent and knowledgeable sales / office staff answer your questions but don't push you for the sake of making a sale. Ok, so I can see why they have a 4.9 rating on Google. After discussing what I wanted the cart for, as well as what my property looked like (6 acres of land that is all hills and gullies with very little flat ground), they recommended a Yamaha gas cart because of the pulling power needed to pull a loaded yard cart up and down the hills. The carts were in good repair and priced fairly so I bought one. They even let me use their trailer to get the cart home.
Here's where it gets really good. I had road tested the cart on flat ground, going slow which put no load on the engine. Upon getting it home I discovered that the golf cart was bogging down when I tried to accelerate faster than a snails pace.. Also It was a no go when trying to get up the hills as it would really bog down and loose power. Oh swell, I thought. I hope that I don't have to fight with them to make this right. I called them up and my fears couldn't have been farther from the actual events that followed.
Every one of the people I dealt with, from the office staff who I talked to, to the mechanics who checked it out and explained exactly what was wrong bent over backwards to make it right and make me happy. I was stunned with how good they treated me AFTER the sale. They even brought the cart back to my house saving me the trouble of doing it myself. It performed great when I test drove it on my hills.
Am I happy? ABSOLUTELY
Did they treat me right before AND after the sale? ABSOLUTELY
Would I recommend them ? ABSOLUTELY
5 stars is a slap in the face for how this business and these people handle their business. They get at least a 7 star rating in my book.
