This bank NEVER answers the phone. They don’t call you back when you leave a message. Horrible communication. I refinanced with them only find out the previous financial institute never received the pay off loan from the bank and there was a difference added due to interest. Can’t get ahold of anyone to fix this because they don’t answer the phone. You would physically have to drive there if you want anything done. Awful service

First I was charged a late fee because they changed systems and my loan autopayment wasn't processed. Then their customer service line transfered me to a dead line that hung up. At the branch, an extremely unprofessional banker was not able to remove the fee as "it was not the credit unions fault". Still trying to figure out how it is mine when nothing has changed on my end in years. Then, to top it off, I was charged a fee without being told to remove money from the savings account in my name. I will contact the CFPB next and will never bank with America's First again. I suggest you take your business elsewhere if you care about customer service or your finances.

I have called many times before and can never get anyone to answer. I have even left messages and so far I have been called back once.

I do not remember both of the ladies names but they were the sweetest and super helpful. Even after me calling late and then realizing I had done my math incorrectly. They still both took the time to assist me. (I also found the second receipt she had given me that I had misplaced afterwards. ?♀️?♀️)

I'm very disappointed with this bank. They have been holding my funds hostage for a week even though they have cashed the check they are saying 9 to 12 days before the funds will be available. It always takes 10 minutes or longer to get a rep on the phone and many times you will get the "we are experiencing high call volumes BS“ and "call back later" before hanging up in your face. It took almost an hour to open a bank account. If I ever get MY MONEY I WILL MOST CERTAINLY CLOSE THIS ACCOUNT. This is the most inconvenient and inconsiderate bank I've ever dealt with. Just look at all these negative reviews that go back for years. It is just ridiculous.

Don’t waste your time calling leeds branch.. Anything you ask they try to make you come into the bank because they aren’t “allowed to give info over the phone” So Inconvenient…. You may even get hung up on. Apparently this hanging up on people is an issue for them reading all these reviews. Horrible customer and too short handed to provide proper customer service.The funny thing is if you call the 1-800# for America’s First with SAME question, they are happy to give you information and so polite. Now I never have to deal with the rude leeds branch people every again! :)

I went to my bank to make a simple deposit into my checking account. As I've always done I have money transferred from my checking to other accounts to pay bills and etc. I was informed by an untrained teller that I wouldn't be unable to do my bank transactions unless I had the exact amounts including change memorized, of each loan and credit card amounts which were several. the untrained teller had to get up at every question I had, and go back to the branch manager to ask for advice this happened six times and the branch manager still didn't come out to take control or help with the situation. I ended up having to leave without my bills being paid because of their incompetence I have zero faith in the abilities of America's first credit Union. the staff was rude and incompetent including the branch manager something needs to be done to make a change here or I will be taking our business elsewhere my advice to whoever reads this review is don't come here! P. S. The turnover rate here is off the charts.

I just attempted to go through the drive Thru lane only one teller taking so long to do each transaction. I wanted for over 10 min and she still wasn’t done with one customer. This needs to get better. Or I am switching to somewhere that can actually get things done in a timely manor.

This is a good credit union but they are so busy it is very difficult to get service. Their rates are not quite as good as Heritage South down the street and you can get faster, more personalized service down the street too. I have a mortgage here but have moved my checking. Will continue to migrate my business.

Typically I have no complaints with our bank. Been with them for many years . But what really gets on my nerves is each teller has their own set of rules for your account. I have deposited personal checks for $20-100. And most of the time iitis not an issue with the bank. But in the last year 1 will say they have to put it on a 10 day hold, new guidelines. Then the next time I'm expecting it again and they say no we dont have to do a hold. It irritates the crap.out of me. So what you have a bad day so you make the rules up as you go?
