Hours: Deep South Speedway is highly regarded as one of the best dirt tracks in the south, known for its cleanliness and well-laid-out design. Visitors frequently praise the clean grounds and family-oriented atmosphere, with no alcohol served, making it a safe and enjoyable environment for families. The facility hosts a variety of racing classes each night, including exciting midget racers, and often features a large number of cars—up to 85 entries—providing good racing entertainment. The grandstands are positioned close to the track, offering an immersive experience where spectators can sit comfortably in outdoor chairs or even bring their own. The layout allows for clear views of the entire track, and there are areas for kids to play and families to relax, including space to throw a ball while waiting for races. Concession stands are available with reasonable prices, though lines can sometimes be long, and the lap and position boards are located off to the side. Overall, visitors find the races exciting, smooth in transition between classes, and appreciate the clean, family-friendly environment. Many drive from nearby cities like New Orleans to enjoy the entertainment, and the track’s layout and facilities have received high praise, with visitors eager to return.
