“I think I have allowed enough time to pass to give a somewhat impartial view on this Church. My family and I went to this Church for over 15 years. We were there in good times and bad. We stayed through splits and and turmoil. Both my wife and I were extremely active in those years. My daughter even was active. In the end my wife and I couldn't work things out and we separated and divorced. At no time did anyone in the church or Sunday School class ever contact me or my son who I got custody of in the divorce. I wasn't a bad person and a wasn't a bad father. I did have issues as a husband. It would have been nice to have my Church family have at least say they were praying for me and reached out to me. I seemed to even be removed from my Sunday Schools e-mail list and stopped getting invites to class events and socials. Both my children were saved and baptized in this Church. The children's pastor is still there that was involved with this happening. I have no ill feelings toward anyone, I was just really hurt and still am. It has really hurt my feelings towards religion, but most if all it has hurt my relationship even more with God. I guess another reason I was hurt was because I recently found out the several people reached out to my now ex-wife. I don't understand the double standard. Especially, when she moved out of town and away from the kids and the Church. I would have probably kept going and taken my kids if I would have been contacted. On top of all of that what's even worse I know my 14 year old son has issues with it.Long story short, there are plenty if Churches and this one I would definitely not recommend.By the way, It has been over six months since our separation and over three months since our divorce.Just a follow up. Pastor Allen Hays (senior pastor) did contact me shortly after I posted this review. I spoke with him and he apologized and said that they are human and this should not have happened. I did not really have an issue with him. He was fairly new to the church (about a year) when this whole incident started. I had more of an issue with individuals in my Sunday School class and rest of the church whom I had know for quite sometime. Hopefully, we will all learn from this situation and if God forbid it happens again in the future we will do better to minister to other believers instead of isolating.I changed my rating to four stars because I had been with this church for so long. It was really only in the end that I felt distanced from them. I guess there were more good times than bad times. Plus, like I said earlier both my children were saved and baptized in this church.”

“at first when you walk in you will notice its the basement of the church but don't let that fool you. I have been to many daycare's and this is the first one my son actually loves. The teachers and staff there are very nice and are more than willing to accommodate your child's needs. Before i found this daycare my son was at a popular chain daycare and i was VERY dissatisfied with their policies. My son was bit three times in one week and no disciplinary action was taken on the child or his parents. I finally got their attention when i threatened to call the board on them when my child got bit by the same child the following week, then the child was kicked out. When i brought him to Madison free will he instantly loved it. I am very pleased with the staff and everyone there”

“I can't say enough good about St. John's. My experience has been very real and has met a need in my life. Priests are available and willing to listen and give good direction in times of need. Real church with real people. Great liturgy with appropriate level of honor and respect for the Eucharist.”
