Facility was clean. Car was fine. Complaint is that no one at this location ever answers the phone. Ever! Morning or evening or afternoon during business hours. First my deposit of $300 is still held up 3 days later when it should be 48 hours max. Secondly, my uber took me to the Madison Blvd location and pulled right up to the chained fence and said it must have been closed. He dropped me off at the airport thinking I could just use Hertz there. I had to pay again to get uber back to Madison Blvd turns out my uber did not take me to the correct building. The rep answered the phone for the airport Hertz rep twice but not at all for me. If someone could have answered the phone it would have saved me the hassle. Hold on to your confirmation email because it will be all you have if you have any questions or issues. It takes an in-person visit to actually talk to someone there and thats a gamble too

Would leave a more detailed review but I think the other ones say enough. Worst experience I have ever had across the country at any Hertz as a president's circle member.

I scheduled a rental through my insurance. Someone from Hertz contacted me to set up my reservation on Thursday. I get to this location on Monday morning and there’s no vehicles available. No one called me beforehand. The employee at this location told me I could go to Decatur to get a car. There’s no customer service here and a reservation is useless. Save your time and go to Enterprise on Hwy 72.

Terrible Place!!!! Charged a $600 deposit and was no help even before we got to the payment the lady was incredibly incompetent. Don’t come here there are better rental car places.

So i reserved a small truck on memorial pkwy. Showed up to get it and they had no trucks. Lady was friendly and apologetic. I told her the system had let me reserve another one in madison and she warned me it might happen to me again but i took the chance and made the drive. The lady in madison was extremely rude right from the start. She told me they had no trucks but after i explained i had already wasted 2 hours trying to get this truck i asked if i should go to the airport, she finally picked up a phone and said a truck was on the way for me. She then said i needed a $300 deposit on top of the rental. I saidi was using a credit card not a debit card and according to the website that wasnt the case. She became nasty and told me i was wrong and should read the website. I stayed because i really needed a truck and have invested almost 3 hours at this point. She then told me i needed to provide my declarations page for my auto insurance. I explained i dont have online access to my auto insurance but i would be adding the liability coverage they sell anyways. At this point she picked up the phone and cancelled the truck and then began to yell at me that things dont work that way, i cant just buy liability insurance from them. She proceeded to tell me i have to have all my insurance documents and THEN i can buy additional insurance for $85 a day. At this point she was irate and screaming at me and i had never raised my voice or been difficult at all. It was really a weird site how angry she was and how insistent she was that i was crazy to try and rent a car without my insurance documents. I left wondering since huntsville is an international airport how do visitors from other countries rent cars without having insurance? Honestly worst experience of my life but Avis took care of me on no notice and no deposit or insurance docs. Management really needs to remove that lady from their counter.

Had an awful experience here on 10/04 after reserving a vehicle and then they didn’t have one. This was the second Hertz I had been to that day and so I asked the rep to please confirm if any other locations had a minivan before traveling to a THIRD location despite a reservation. She was clearly annoyed and didn’t want to help in any way. I let her know it wasn’t her fault, but just didn’t want to waste anymore time and she got loud with me and told me “You’re not understanding. You need to go to Decatur!” Went down the road to Enterprise and they were kind and helpful despite not having a reservation made. I would recommend management evaluate who is operating their business prior to leaving them to work alone. Clearly customer service is not a requirement to work there.

WOULD GIVE NEGATIVE STAR IF ALLOWED.Place is poorly marked, looked like a ghost town, wasn't even sure if they were open when we pulled up. Walked in, completely empty with one employee. Hertz employee on 02 OCT, 23 was a woman who seemed totally annoyed that I was there and that I was ruining her day of doing next to nothing. Was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes, LOST A CUSTOMER, Went to Enterprise on 72 where everyone was professional, kind, and went out of their way to support.NEVER GOING BACK, GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR BUSINESS.

Worst customer service ever! Tracey was very rude and had a bad attitude. Over charged my credit card and when I went to confront them, they threw me out and told me to have a nice. Definitely will not be going back
