“Brock‘s Jewelers was recommended to me by a retired couple (fellow travelers during a trip to tour Charleston, SC) who had spent many years in their own jewelry business in Huntsville, Alabama. I’d asked their advice on what to do with a wedding-engagement ring I’d worn for 20 years, but then not for ~16 years (after spouse left). My new friend suggested having a custom piece made that I’d like to wear, and suggested Brock’s Jewelers.
I took the ring into Brock’s, spoke with Alan Brock, and (spur of the moment) drew a design meaningful to me. Alan confirmed they could do it, provided pricing and I gave the ‘go ahead.’ Alan directed each step in the process. I purchased a 20” chain to wear it, which he made adjustable to an 18” length (with a separate “ring“ inserted 2 inches from the end).
The service provided was wonderful! Brock’s pricing for the new item and labor was fair, a detailed written appraisal was generously provided ‘gratis’ and the finished piece is beautiful!
I highly recommend Brock‘s Jewelers for all jewelry issues or concerns, a custom design or a gift purchase. (Beyond the custom design jewelry piece done from my wedding-engagement ring, I had two separate appraisals done, and the bales of two pendants widened so they would fit onto thick chains… with the latter work done free of charge and while I waited!) Brock’s pricing for materials and labor is fair and their quality is excellent. They have years in the business and their significant knowledge is freely offered.
