When did this location become a drive through only? It defeats the purpose of having a bank if you can’t go in and get personalized help. I have questions and issues I need to get resolved and can’t call as I lost important information or don’t want to go and sit through a drive through where it seems impersonal.

The two ladies at this branch that helped me with my debit card issue are some of the sweetest people o have met. I traveled to this AL location from KY after waiting weeks for my debit card. They jumped right on the issue and were even able to give me more info than I had gotten in the times I called cust service. Very hospitable and I could tell they were seasoned associates. Please do whatever you can to keep these ladies. Thank you!

We used the local mortgage branch to finance the purchase of a house: terrible. Very nice people, but they frequently provided incorrect or inconsistent information and requests for information and documentation. A few months later, we decided to move so we checked with South State for rates. Although our credit scores are over 800, they did not offer a competitive rate. We financed with another local bank and were owed over $2K from our escrow account. South State sent the check to our old address. It never arrived. They cancelled the check, but said they still had to wait 45-60 days to send a new check. After 30 days, they still had not sent it. As time passed, I spoke to 2-3 supervisors, each of whom gave different positions. I was promised they would request the relevant department to send the check by 2 day mail. Apparently, management does not trust supervisors to make such a major decision as sending money owed by 2 day mail. The mortgage was paid 30 June 2021, and I still don't have my own money refunded by mid October. Terrible management and customer service.

We were in the process of building a home and we're pre-approved and told closing on the loan within 60 days to start construction would be no problem. Well, after multiple loan officers and losing of paperwork submitted, we weren't able to close on the construction loan and now cannot continue the build process because of price increases. The builder (Woodland Homes) will no longer honor our original contract because the bank dragged their feet. We lost the home we spent 3 months of a build process on because of this bank.

The assistant branch manager, Izaira Fernandezalives has AMAZING customer service! We opened an account for our nonprofit and she made it incredibly easy. She not only remembers your face, but your name as well. One of the times I came to the bank, Izaira was getting into her car to go home. She saw me and said she would be right behind me. She came inside after she was logged out for the day and helped me with paperwork I needed to get from her. She treats us like we're her most important customers and is wonderful at her job. Thank you for A++++++ service!

If I could give a negative I would, I got a denial letter but they were very nice until they realized my Husband was not a white man, then it was different. They did pre approve me, and then I added him and then TIM, the mortgage guy lied, he wrote a denial letter that made me sick to my stomach and ashamed I ever took my husband to the south. It said we refused to give him info on work history, but we gave him all the tax info and the pauystubs, he messed up giving us a pre approval that he had to ie and make stuff up. My brother in law plays pro ball and wants to sue , I say the wouth will rise again in this Tim guy, he is terrible and a liar, beware folks, next time I will use my white =ness and try myself hahaha.
