When I needed a storage unit for a few months, I decided to go with Oakland Self Storage. The facilities were clean, safe & well-lit at all times and the indoor climate controlled units were kept at a consistent temperature. I also appreciated how easy it was to get in and out of the facility/property from the road.
Overall, I was pleased with my experience and the staff was always polite and very helpful. I recommend Oakland Self Storage and would choose them again.

Absolute worse storage facility in Madison Al , I am paying 1000.00 for two units to keep them from going into auction because they moved me I to two units . I had death in my family and couldn’t move out they are not empathetic at all , I’ve paid for two funerals and they are making it hard for me to keep my things by adding all the fees that they can in here to pay for my unit which was 545.00 only to be told I need 118 more dollars or it will be auctioned tomorrow the second until which only has a fee things in it , still has almost a 500 fee which will be auctioned as well they called themselves moving me to another unit I couldn’t come back to finish transferring my stuff before the deadline and now I’m being charged for two that was just a trap please don’t use this facility
Update : if you stuff goes into auction beware I belive I had employees bidding with me to raise the bid to prevent me from winning or paying a big amount .

I would like to say since I’ve been here and had a storage at Oakland Self storage. It’s been very nice. Very clean place. I would prefer to let people know that this is a good place to store your stuff and you will have no issues. Thank you.

We started storing belongings here due to repair of kitchen and living room floors. After repairs were made we have kept some items in storage. Have been using the storage facility for many years now. Have not had any issues cleanliness, struggles to access our unit. We have a climate controlled unit. They also have a very reasonable competitive rental prices.

Excellent people, very clean, well lite, easy 24/7 access. I originally rented a 5X10, after 3 months I needed more spaces. They moved me to a 10X10 with no hassle. I went over today to go back to a 5X10, they once again moved me without any issues or additional fees. Barbara, the manager is very easy to work with and always helped me meet my changing requirements. Close to my home in Madison and no Rt 72 traffic.

Oakland Storage is a family owned and operated business. They are completely fenced, 24/7 access, keypad entry and recording cameras. Lights in every unit and completely paved.
They have standard drive up storage and temperature control units along with vehicle parking. They also sell all the moving supplies one will need to make a successful move.
Customer service is great – great Self Storage. I recommend!

By far the best experience I have ever had with renting a storage unit. I wasn’t expecting what I saw when I arrived. It was so much more but I guess since no other storage unit company can touch this one I had never seen such a well kept and clean facility. I mean the temperatures even felt like my home. Jason and his staff assisted me promptly and the whole process was so easy. I would recommend them to any and everyone. Top notch for sure.

Great prices! Half-price 3 mo move in special was a Godsend after my second move this year. Staff is helpful and friendly & super clean units!! Definitely recommend.
