Dollar General Millbrook is a neighborhood general store offering hassle-free and affordable shopping. It provides everyday low prices on a wide variety of items including food, snacks, health and beauty aids, cleaning supplies, family apparel, housewares, seasonal items, and paper products from trusted brands and its own private brands. The store has undergone significant staffing changes. The old manager was frequently observed outside smoking and typically had other staff working later in the morning. The new manager, described as by far the nicest, initially faced considerable challenges. She was left with no help after the previous staff and manager departed, often working by herself. This led to the store having to close frequently because she could not cover all the opening hours alone. The situation has been very hard on her, as reliable help is hard to find and some employees call in sick or do not show up. However, things are improving. She has done a very good job considering the circumstances, covering for absent staff and gradually finding better help a little at a time, though it remains a struggle. She is always in the store but has more duties than just staying at the register. Customers are encouraged to be patient as she is working hard. Associates are very friendly and do their best to ensure customers get what they need. The prices are always so good.
Store floor was dirty and needs updating but service was friendly and I was impressed by the wide selection, such as charcoal (see picture)

The store manager with the glasses and blonde braids is so rude literally so nasty & I literally will not be back, do something with her before she get handled

Worst Dollar General I've ever been to. A/c out often, very dirty, rude management. I'm 54 and was refused a Bic lighter because of no ID.
