While stationed at Maxwell for a year I started going to RRCF. This was my second CrossFit gym and I appreciated the focus on the basics and working on the foundation of complex movements that I still had not mastered yet. I originally wanted to rush into movements that advanced athletes were doing at the games but this isn’t what I needed. This made me noticeably stronger and kept me injury free for the entire year. The programming is one of kind and isn’t canned from a website and matches what the athletes at RRCF need. I highly recommend this gym and the staff is great.

Our family was TDY at Maxwell AFB for the summer, we quickly found this Crossfit gym and we loved it! All of the coaches were very friendly and welcoming as well as the community of people there! Being displaced from your home for so long is rough, so finding a little village to fill the void is great. This box was awesome and we were sad to leave! We will definitely return to RR if we ever wind up in the area again!

BLUF, an oasis of fitness and motivation in an obesity-ridden desert (otherwise known as Alabama). Friends had been trying to suck me into the Crossfit cult for a while. It took a move to Alabama and some months of really poor workouts at a regular gym to get me to take the plunge. Workouts are challenging, but the coaches are sticklers for form and encourage everyone to do mobility drills to prevent injury and stay limber. They also provide helpful nutritional information. Nobody is pushy about knee socks, barefoot running, Paleo, working out until you succumb to kidney failure, etc. My strength and overall fitness have improved tremendously since I started. No injuries either.
