If something seems too good to be true it probably is. That was certainly the case with AMS.
We contacted them for a quote and even put a deposit down almost a month in advance. We did a video call eight days before the move so the company could give us an accurate estimate. We then signed the estimate, that was also signed by a representative of the company. Four days later (4 days before the move) I received a notice our move was being canceled. The explanation I received is because is that was “not financially sensible of them”. Had they declined to do the move because of this earlier I would understand. But instead they sent us a signed offer that we accepted, then decided to cancel because they weren’t making enough money.
Not only is that completely unprofessional but it is also a breach of contract. I understand that the price is just an estimate but we had a signed contract for them to move the items. Instead they canceled and left us with 4 days to find an alternative.
I can’t fathom any other business doing this and expecting it to be acceptable. You bid the job, we accepted, and both parties signed the offer.
The move is inexpensive enough that it is not worth the time and effort to take them to court, and that’s likely why they feel emboldened to act in such a manner.
I would highly discourage anyone from using this company. They have no integrity.
In hindsight I should have been tipped off when the initial point of contact tried to convince me they don’t provide estimates and that they just move the items and we get a total after delivery. I wrote that off as a miscommunication but now I see it is part of a larger scheme to inflate the cost of moves.

Edited review. Movers did a good job but the boss man complained constantly - about various items to be moved, the difficulty of getting into the house etc. He literally stood over my wife's shoulder while she was recording this original review. She felt pressured to give 5 stars. Will not use again

Excellent service. Dakota and Guss were fast, professional, and all my items arrived in the same condition they left in. One heavier item, too large to go through the door, did require some extra help. Justin and Pat arrived on site in no time, and the crew had the furniture up and in, through the window, in no time! Highly recommend.
