Seems like a nice place, but they let me schedule a tour only for me to go all the way there and find out that there are no apartments for lease until August and that they have space available on old shell. Why wouldn’t you have told me that over the phone? Pretty unprofessional and disrespectful in my opinion. Do Better Marine Street Lofts, Do Better????????????

Haven't stayed here in about 4 years, and as my last review, nothing has changed. That's a good thing because everything was excellent, as was 4 years ago. Great staff, to the guys in valet parking. Great job. You certainly deserve more respect than what, hopefully, are only a very few give you. As I said 4 years ago to the ones that have any complaints, well, if you can't afford to stay at such a classy historical gem, then don't stay here. Excellent job, everyone.

Well restored historic place in Mobile. Very good spot in historic downtown, steps away from Dauphne St. First Battle House from 1852 burned down. Current structure is from 1908. Rooms are relatively large. Upper floor rooms (e. g. on 7th floor) offer nice views to the city and bay. Check-in and -out was easy. Friendly personnel. TV channels include HBO. Restaurant on site. I’d come back when in the area.

GPS brought us to an entrance near the bank, not the one with valets - but we didn’t know there was another entrance. Checked in and the only comment or instructions given was “you’re in the historical section”. Nothing about parking. Assumed we should park in the deck adjacent to the entrance we came to, but found out that was wrong when we tried to enter. No idea where to go, so we exited and turned right and found another deck that said “hotel” and was apparently a Marriott - so we assumed that was the right place. Wrong, there’s another Marriott a few blocks away. Ended up trudging blocks in 98 degrees with luggage to hotel. Came back to lobby and told staff (of 4) that perhaps some parking instructions might be in order. Staff then reported that their parking was valet only (for $27+). I asked why that info wasn’t shared when I checked in. Basically got a shrug for my answer. Idk if there’s bfast, since that wasn’t mentioned. Elevator shows one club level floor and a rooftop terrace. None of that was mentioned either. Perhaps replace staff with kiosk. Room was nice

The front portion was absolutely gorgeous and the room service was excellent. The rest was not so nice. We got there around 5:30 and our room wasn’t ready yet. They had to call the rooms to “find” one. The room definitely wasn’t worth the price. It was dirty and really outdated. The air conditioner did not work well and it stayed HOT in the room. You can here everything outside. It’s in the middle of town so I would have hoped for soundproof windows but nope. The balcony is shared and not private and the view is ok if the lean over the side. We ate in one of the restaurants and the waitress seemed annoyed she even had to work and it wasn’t busy at all. I wouldn’t waist my money here again.

This is a lovely, large, established hotel with great history. The rooms are large, well-appointed and the restaurants are good. Being in downtown Mobile, this is an opportunity for a great get-a-way.

The Battle House is such a Beautiful hotel. The entire staff, housekeeping, valet and the folks at the reception desk were all so kind and helpful. I can't wait to visit again. While your there check out the whispering balcony, it was so cool.

Other than the lobby. The place is battle scarred. Rooms are beat up. View is not enticing. I was by river. Noisy all night. The valet guys warned me not to walk to dinner as it could be dangerous. Sorry will not go back to the Battle

Very nice hotel in downtown Mobile (AL). This is an old building with modern installations and reformed rooms. My room was spacious, well-furnished and clean. Service is friendly and very competent. The lobby is really impressive and worth sitting down and taking in the atmosphere.

We stayed at the Battle House for one night on our cross country trip home. We were traveling with a pet so it was nice to have a large room. It had 2 beds a couple of chairs a desk and a large bathroom. The lobby was impressive. We had a couple of cocktails in their bar and enjoyed their chips with onion dip. We had dinner in the restaurant which was good, service was with Jen and she was excellent. We also had her at breakfast the next morning she is very sweet. I would love to stay here again if our travels bring us this way.

If ever in Mobile or the surrounding area, this is the place to stay. The property is beautiful and well maintained, the guest rooms comfortable and well appointed. The management here is to be complimented for the quality of this exceptional staff. Each encounter with someone was met with a hello or a cordial greeting. A shout out to London who took care of us each morning in the executive lounge. He was attentive, pleasant and represented the hotel well. I can see London rising in his career with Marriott!

This was our first time staying at The Battlehouse and enjoyed every minute of our trip. The rooms are huge and very comfortable. It is so convenient to restaurants downtown Mobile. I am writing this review not only because we had a great experience, but because I had left a pair of sunglasses in my room and didn’t think they would be found. I contacted the hotel about my bill (all was good) and told Ashley, the person I spoke with, that I had left my sunglasses. She immediately checked and called me back to say they had been found. I received my sunglasses the next day! We will definitely plan to stay there again.

A beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. Valet parking was excellent. Our room was large (by European standards) and had a view to the docks. Bathroom had a bath and walk in shower. A super large and comfortable bed made for a great sleep. This is a really historic hotel which has been established for over 100 years. A memorable stay, thank you.

We stayed here twice on our way to and from North Carolina. It’s a very nice hotel and is clean and easy to get to. We traveled with our dog, and she was very comfortable as well. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant on our return trip home, and all four of us enjoyed our meals. We will definitely be returning when we are traveling cross country again and appreciate this location and facilities.

This place is huge! Great for exploring and the front desk was so helpful! Kelton and Taz were amazing. They care about customers, so they even emailed us ahead of time to warn us of the road closures for the parades. This made it easier to plan and let us know what to expect. The rooms were gorgeous, but we did hear our neighbors quite a bit throughout the connecting door. So maybe get a room without a connecting door and hopefully that will cut the noise level down. They did provide us with arm bands so people off the streets couldn't crowd the hotel. Downfall is that there is only 2 small elevators to get upstairs and there can be a long wait. We couldn't find the stairwell to walk it and was told by some employees there isn't one. Which is hard to believe in case there is a fire or emergency.
