BEWARE BEFORE BOOKING HERE!!! I made reservations in January to stay here for a wedding and in late march, 19hrs before I was set to check in to the hotel, I got a call from the assistant manager on duty saying that they were cancelling my reservation because they had guests that wanted to extend their stay to stay extra days. They did not offer me an alternative place to stay or anything. Just sorry you have to find somewhere else to stay, we are canceling your reservation.

I invite anyone to stay a night or two. There's always something to do in Mobile Alabama. Just because Mardi Gras parade has ended in downtown Mobile. There's still a parade in Pritchard, Alabama Saturday morning at 10:00 AM be there.

Made reservations 2 months early, upon arrival at the hotel they had assigned my room to someone else, and would only give me single room that was not large enough for my family. That is very poor management on part of this hotel. I will not stay there again. Too many problems!!!!!!!!

Had a great stay downtown at candlewood hotel! Service was wonderful and the location was just perfect! My only caveat would be the lack of towels.Walkability: I'd score the walkability a solid 4.5/5, you could get to any bar/restaurants worth going to in <15min, personally we rode scooters and loved it!

Nice hotel within walking distance of the civic center and other waterfront attractions. There are washers and dryers that guests may use for free. Bring your own detergent and dryer sheets or purchase at the front desk. A small gym is located on the ground floor adjoining the laundry room.Guest rooms are nice and spacious. The small kitchen was a huge plus!

I was quickly reminded as to why I stay at Marriott hotels. The room was dirty — hair in the shower, nightstand with stains on it, even the “room cleaned by” card was reused as it had requests from previous person written on the back of card. The room smelled of mildew. To make it worse the towels I received had black curly hairs stuck in them… I was stuck on bottom floor and it was very loud at night with people coming and going and bringing their dogs by the room. This was a terrible experience and will definitely be sticking with my Marriott loyalty.

If you're looking for a clean, economical hotel in Mobile AL that's an easy walk to nightlife and also easy to get on and off the highway, this is the spot!Private parking lot is right behind the hotel and the rooms were bright, clean and the water pressure was fantastic.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The suite was very clean, spacious and just the right thing we needed for our stay in Mobile. The kitchenette is fully functional, with a stove top, microwave, dish washer, sink, and fridge/freezer combo. Same with a set of two fo everything from mugs and cups to silverware and plates. The hotel is also very dog friendly and the pantry down stairs is a great place for a late night snack! Will definitely stay here again!

If you have children with disabilities I would not recommend. My nephew has autism, front desk heard him screaming (stimming) and called saying "people have work in the morning. I explained the situation to her and she said "well if someone calls and complains y'all got to go." As if this is how you treat someone who pays to stay at your establishment. I'll be contacting corporate though.

We booked a king Suite 3 months in advance for New Year’s Eve knowing that is was a tough night for rooms. We live close by but like to celebrate downtown for the holiday. We usually stay at the Renaissance but thought we would try something else. A month before our stay a woman called and demanded full payment upfront or we would lose the booking. We paid in good faith and we’re understating of the busyness. On booking day we received a notice saying our Kind Suite was no longer available. There was zero explanation offered. We were given a queen studio which was terrible & view of the parking. We would have NEVER booked this hotel if we had know they were going to resell our suite for a higher cost. We would have stayed else’s where if we had know they were going to do this. The front desk didn’t even offer a reduction in lesser room, until I demanded one. I met people in the elevator who had booked long after us who received a king Suite but paid more. So the hotel resold out room. The front desk did offer to reimburse the room if we went and stayed somewhere know that we wouldn’t be able to find another room on NYE. What a lousy NYE. We will never stay at this property again.

**Never open your doors for strangers (especially at night!!) when traveling in new city!!**We are two young female travelers who arrived late and checked into our room that we booked online. Front desk attendant was friendly, room was clean and beds were comfortable. At 1:30am, we received 2 calls to our hotel phone. We answered the second call and it was the desk attendant, she asked if we could come out to the elevator to help her see if it was working. When we declined this request, she said she had the wrong number, then scrambled to change the story saying that she needed to change our room. We said we didn’t need a room change.A few minutes later, someone knocked at our door (we did not open the door and she did not stand in view of the peep hole), again saying that she was there to help us change our room- something we never requested nor felt we needed. When we declined to open the door, she left very quickly. This was all around an uncomfortable experience to have so late at night, and it left us feeling like someone was trying too hard to get us to open the door/ get us to leave our room without directly addressing why. We asked the new front desk attendant about it the next morning, and she could not find any reasons as to why a hotel employee would be trying to contact us so much, especially so late at night.Lastly, our room was double-charged and management has been slow to correct the situation. We wanted to leave this review to warn fellow travelers to be extra safe and aware in case things like this happen often at this location.

The staff here really go out of their way to make your stay wonderful. We have stayed here on several occasions and they never disappoint! Would highly recommend this hotel. Reasonable prices and very nice suites.
