I'm giving them a 2-star review because I did get descent glasses. There were problems though. I set my appointment up two weeks in advance just prior to my insurance expiring. My employer was switching to a new company afterwards. My appointment was set for Saturday morning of August 31st. The person who set my appointment informed me that my insurance was accepted there. The day before my scheduled appointment, I get a phone call telling me that the doctor that will be giving me an eye exam is an independent eye doctor & that she isn't covered by any insurance plans. When I asked if there was a doctor there that is covered under my insurance so I go there immediately after work, I was told that doctor was about to leave for the day. Despite the fact they are open for another 2 to 3 hours.
I went in for my scheduled appointment & the those at the front desk were nice & respectful. I took a preliminary test prior to seeing the doctor (to check for glaucoma & other issues). The eye exam was way different than it was when I got examined in 2012. The eye chart had only three rows of large letters & not the traditional eye chart that had multiple rows of letters that got smaller & smaller as you go down. While the eye doctor told me that I had 20/20 vision in one of my eyes, she couldn't tell me what my overall eye sight was. Considering that I paid $77.00 out of pocket for the eye exam, I expected to know what my overall eyesight was. Every other eye exam I have had before, I was able to find out either from the doctor administering the exam or I was able to find out on the report. The report that was handed over from the doctor only had my prescription, not my overall eyesight rating.
My insurance did cover the glasses & lenses. Even though the staff was friendly & was very helpful toward me, with the fact that I haven't been able to find out what my overall eyesight was left me feeling like I got cheated. Regardless of what kind of doctor you see, you should be able to ask questions & get answers especially if you're paying for it out of your own pocket.
Next time, I'll just plan on going to America's Best or Lenscrafters.

The employees were helpful, but when my frames fell apart after 1.5 months and I was told there was no warranty on them, I was very disappointed. Would not recommend **9/8/25 -Have not heard from company after sending my contact info. Text me if you need to. ** 9/23/25- STILL no response from Eyeglass world after I sent the required info. Apparently, your sympathetic response to my original review was BS.

I got the gray and white Nike plastic frames almost 2yrs ago and now they keep cracking around the lens and on the arm where it goes over my ears. I have had to use super glue in three different places in order to use them. These were not cheap in cost but either they are knock offs or made cheap either way I would expect them to last longer.

My experience was amazing. The Dr was really nice and helpful when checking my eyes. D’Andria was the associate that helped assist me when I was picking out my glasses. She took her time explaining my options and what I can do with my glasses. I never felt rushed or uncomfortable. I appreciate them both.

I have been going there for years since i was discharged from the military. NOT know my VA benefits would take can off my bills and glasses. I stop by because i had some stuck in my eye that i was having trouble getting out. I was told by a young lady up front that the doctor was GOING home early and THERE WAS A Urgent care around the the corner. I dont Remember her name but she was very rude and i will no longer do Business woth them as there is a eye center right across the street

Talk about great service!
I was lied to by Stanton Optical on what my cost would be for contact lens and exam. This was from 800#. I arrived early to confirm my actual total before my exam. It would have cost me more than $200 what I was quoted “after rebate.
I left and visited Eyeglass World.
They had a cancellation today, and I stuck around for about twenty minutes. They worked me into their day, got me my contact lens order filled and my total was about half what I would have paid at the “other place”.
I highly recommend using Eyeglass World, and will be returning when again myself.

Eyeglass World has always been good to me in the past, but they weren't in my insurance network, so I went to Stanton Optical. However, after a nightmare of repeated incorrect prescriptions and losing my lenses, I decided to go back here instead, insurance be damned.
Extremely glad I did, staff were extremely helpful in helping me find lens options that fit my budget, as well as setting me up with and explaining the paperwork I needed to file with my insurance to get at least partial coverage. No one tried to upsell me or anything and communication regarding the status of my glasses was excellent and accurate.
I still need time to adjust to my new lenses, but even taking that into consideration, they're much more comfortable than the many other attempts from Stanton. I should've saved myself two and a half months of visionless agony and just come here first.
Thanks so much to everyone, and I'll definitely be back next time I need new glasses!
