“My husband, Retired Msgt. Elton A. Simmons, died a little over a year ago. Both Mr. Brown and Jessica were a God-send! There were so many parts involved in getting my husband's body in Texas, flying him home to Mobile, and making sure he recieved full military honors at a VA cemetery! They had a funeral home that they had worked with in Houston, and they took care of everything. I didn't have to do anything at all on that end, and they communicated timely & efficiently! I have worked with funeral homes before and felt pressured for certain things, felt a bit unsure of tough decisions to make, with no guidance. B.E. Brown & Co. Mortuary were the opposite of that! They were patient as we worked through the VA parts, as I struggled to straighten out insurance issues, as I made so many changes to the programs; and kind and understanding throughout the entire ordeal! I still think about the professionalism experienced even to this day! They understood the assignment! They made sure that my deceased husband's wishes & My wishes, the widow, were met! They were professional enough to Not entertain others, that tried to inject their wishes & opinions, because they may not have understood their place during such a difficult time(iykyk)! I was so thankful to have a trouble free homegoing service for my husband, and I know that it went as well as it did because of the professionals God sent me to handle the logistics! My husband would have loved the entire ceremony, from beginning to end! Thank you Mr. Brown, Ms. Jessica, and the entire B.E. Brown staff, for your excellence during a very, very difficult time!! May your business continue to flourish, as we all know death is inevitable, and people deserve to be able to put their loved ones away beautifully and peacefully!! God bless!”
