I come in to town every few months and stay here because of the awesome location. A location so lovely that it makes the atrocious "customer service" forgettable (until you come back and are again reminded of how it seems everyone who works here hates people. Housekeeping and Maintenance are the exceptions!) I've never experienced such obvious disdain on so many occassaions by so many different staff over such a long period of time. If you can overlook that, AND you get a decent room, you'll be fine.
The location is ideal. Right down in the historic district with lots of great bar, restaurants, shops, and sights within a short walk.
The breakfasts are fine. The building is pretty. The neighborhood is fun.
Check your room (I had a chair COVERED in someone elses nose pickings this stay) and avoid the "customer service" staff and you're good!
Rooms: Small rooms. Usually clean.
Nearby activities: Cruise port is close. Museums. Forts. and so so so many awesome landmarks and architecture.
Walkability: Lots of shops, restaurants of all kinds, museums and sights surround the area.
Food and drinks: Abundance of restaurants nearby! From dive bars to fine dining to fast food, it's all here.

The location is perfect BUT guest should be informed how to return to the hotel once the entertainment gates are in place.

This was by far the most beautiful (affordable) luxury hotel I've ever stayed in. Somehow we won a cute little contest for a room upgrade, It happened to coincide with my husband's birthday, so he was super tickled that he won something. It set our stay off on a high that never dipped. This location was walkable to so much, it was so beautiful I had to share videos (can't share because I have a sailors mouth) with friends and family of even just the elevator areas!! So chic. The staff was the friendliest I've ever encountered. The room was immaculate, well done (maybe even nicer than my own house!). We overlooked the pool so we got a glorious sunset. Oh and that lil pool was such a sweet reward. We floated during sunset so we could watch the sky change colors between the beautiful brick and lovely hotel architecture. Breathtaking. They also give you complimentary breakfast, the hubs took full advantage, I was happy with my coffee and juice choices. The room was so nice, the bed was so comfortable I forgot where I was a few times waking up. The shower was lovely, hot water on demand, didn't have to wait. Same with the sink washing up. We had a lovely kitchenette with a full sized fridge!!! It was unbelievably beautiful. We found so many attractions super close by. I'll definitely want to go back again and again!!
The only negative? They need to lay off the air freshener in common areas a little bit. Too strong, causes migraines
Rooms: These rooms were gorgeous and so so so clean!!! I love the modern finishes, these rooms are seriously nicer than my own home!!
Nearby activities: Check out Squid Ink, swing and have a brew, the funnest day of my life, better than Disney Land for geriatrics!
Walkability: So close to so many things we couldn't decide where to cut off our plans to really enjoy the ones we decided on. We have to come back!!

On a business trip. Traveled with a coworker. Very nice looking inside and out. Stairs at ground level. There are two lifts accessible to the the main lobby. Two elevators in lobby to go to the room levels. The welcome crew was very friendly and helpful, as well as the housekeeping.
Rooms: I was in a double queen. Everything looked new and not worn down. Lots of room. I would have benefited with a demonstration of the tv. Outlets with USB available in multiple areas.
Nearby activities: An abundance of activities within half a mile.
Walkability: An abundance of eateries, spirits, shopping, and museums. All within two blocks.
Food and drinks: I only ate breakfast. The food was good but not over the top. Hot and cold choices. I asked the staff if an item was vegetarian. The mad faces and did not make eye contact. Then the whispered to each other. I felt very uncomfortable.
Noteworthy details: The staff are so friendly. The common places were always very clean.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, large room, good price. Parking was $12. Only complaints are that the AC was rattling a little, and the area surrounding the hotel was loud (although it’s downtown so not the hotel’s fault).

Exquisite ? All class the whole visit. The room was spotless , cool and a home away from home. The parking situation was seamless you drive right in, check in , get parking pass, park. That's it in less than 5 minutes. It's literally less than .2 miles from so much good food ,
entertainment and even a haunted book store!! Stones throw from the water and lots of lovely scenery for an after dinner walk. Will return to this Inn again and again. We are already planning our next visit. We are booking the same room if possible. It was perfect for our needs. Oh and the breakfast buffet is LEGIT!
Rooms: Gorgeous, clean rooms
Nearby activities: Close to so much. Walking distance to the best of downtown
Safety: We came and went freely at all hours and felt completely safe.
Walkability: We found so much food and entertainment in under 5 minutes walking distance
Food and drinks: Coffee and tea available all day, breakfast buffet was legit
Noteworthy details: Top top quality and service, unbeatable location. Fair price for the quality. Trouble free parking.

This is a super Hampton Inn. Not your regular side of the highway, good enough hotel.. this is much nicer version. I got to choose my room on the 6th floor. When I arrived too early and the room I chose was not ready, I waited in the loby. The front desk guy came to me after some time and offered a different room with the same features that was readt then. (Still ahead of the 4pm check-in time. .. The room is nice and spacious and clean with a balcony.
Breakfast is less than simple, and the sxrambled eggs were not eatable, but that's the way in all these chains. Just grab some cream cheese and make a waffle.
I will definitely come back here again. Within a walking distance from several good restaurants.

My family and I only stayed one night, regrettably. It was such an adorable Hampton Inn, probably our favorite. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful hotel. Room was spacious. The balcony was a nice surprise. The kids loved sitting out on it. Very clean rooms and the pull out bed was very comfortable! They didn't have enough waffle makers for the amount of people that were at breakfast. It was a long line for that. Breakfast was good though.
