Municipal (Langan) Park is a well-loved and charming community park in Mobile, Alabama. It is a nice, quiet, and pleasant green space perfect for relaxation, a walk, or outdoor play. The park offers a family-friendly environment with a great and updated playground that has age-appropriate equipment for both older kids and toddlers. It features lots of land, playground space, parking, trails, a water feature, tennis courts, a real train car, and a WWII aircraft on site. As of late November 2025, a large portion is gated off for lake dredging, which is shaping changes for the community. It remains a pretty park with calm, natural beauty for a brief escape.

As of November 26, 2025, a large portion of the park is gated off while the lakes are being dredged. I saw ducks and Geese but no other wildlife like turtles, fish, and alligators because water levels are low.

can’t wait to go back with the family. We didn’t even explore the whole park but definitely had a good time.
