Mike, Regions Branch Manager in Crichton, Mobile AL is racially inappropriate and disrespectful to the elderlyRegions Bank: Crichton Branch 2720 SpringHill Ave, Mobile, AL 36607Phone: (251) 431-8250.On October 28, I scheduled an appointment for myself and my 72-year-old mother to come to the Crichton Branch of Regions Bank. This appointment was scheduled after several phone conversations that exceeded 45 minutes of wait time. Upon arriving at Regions Crichton Branch, I was greeted by Jessica. She was accommodating in trying to make sure we were taken care of. Jessica could not access certain items on her system, so she recommended talking to Mike, the Crichton Branch manager. Mike clearly expressed that he did not have enough time to help my 72-year-old mother and me. He stated that it was close to his time to get off and that we needed to schedule another appointment for a later date. He did not specify the date. I called back on October 29, and I was told that Mike was out of the office and would not be back until Monday, November 1, 2021. My mother and I returned to the bank on November 2, 2021. We talked to Jessica, who was again very pleasant and helpful, and she told us to have a seat, and she would get the manager, Mike. Mike comes out of his office and says to us, "Sit down over here, and I'll be with y'all in a minute." Mike walked around, maybe went to the restroom or something. However, he took a while. When he returned, he stated, "You can go sit down in my office." Mike asked my mother, "What can I help you with?" as if he did not know why we were there. Before my mother could explain why we were there, Mike threw his hand at my mother, who struggled slightly with her speech. Mike aggressively stated, "I'm not opening an account for you, and you can leave!" He was telling me to leave. My mother stood up to leave as well. I told Mike that he had not heard our situation yet and asked why he was telling us to leave." My mother and I had expressed how disrespectful Mike was, and Mike responded by telling us, "Y'all both can get out of here." I said, "Not until you resolve our issue, and besides, we are wasting a lot of time coming here and not getting anything done." Mike mumbled something that sounded like, "Niggers!" I asked him, "What did you say?" Mike stated, "Get out of here before I call the cops!" My mother is 72 years old and using a cane for mobility. She was not able to move fast enough for Mike, so he called the police. As we were walking out of the building, Mike continued to follow us. Once we were in our vehicle, Mike continued to walk out onto Bay Shore Drive near the Springhill intersection. Mike continued to speak at us at the streetlight at the corner of Bayshore and Springhill Ave. Mike's actions were immensely disrespectful to me and especially to my elderly mother.
