I've been a patron of Sam's Club for probably 20 years. It's true, the prices are amazing, and if you shop shrewdly, you can and do save a ton of money. The staff is always more than happy to go out of their way to help you. Recently I was looking for a set of paring knives for my daughter's new house. I knew the ones at my house had been purchased from Sam's, and knew how they were packaged and where in the store they would be. However, when I arrived to that aisle, they were nowhere to be found, even though there was a place for them and the price displayed on the shelf. I was a little deflated. I found an employee who was nearby stocking shelves, and asked him about the knives. He said he had seen them and knew exactly what I was talking about. He volunteered to go to the back of the store to see if they had some in stock that hadn't been put on the shelves yet. I didn't get my hopes up, and then he was gone for quite a while - maybe 15 minutes? I almost gave up on the employee returning. To my surprise, he then walked up with a container full of the exact paring knives I was looking for! He had gone to the back and opened a box, and not only found the knives, brought some for me, but also brought a sleeve of them to put on the shelf. I was so taken aback and pleasantly surprised, that I tried to tip him, which he refused. I think it says quite a bit about a company that an employee will stop what they are doing, even when quite busy, to track down a relatively cheap item (probably less than $20) for a customer, bring it back, and then refuse a tip for his trouble. He was also so respectful the whole time he talked to me (yes ma'am, no ma'am, thank you and you're most welcome). I left the encounter with a smile on my face, and a resolve to speak to the employee's manager, which I did before I left. I know the store is large, and sometimes overly-crowded, sometimes due to world events they do run out of things, and occasionally it can be a pain to trek around to find what you're seeking. None of that is a company problem, though, and I've never left an interaction with an employee there feeling anything less than respected and pleased. I will be a loyal Sam's Club for a long, long time specifically due to their customer service. Pricing is good, stock is helpful, but NOTHING beats the quality of employees and deference they show to their customers.

Store was a mess. Customers were rude. Things were not priced. Parking is a disaster.

A female employee has been sexually harassed by a customer. Previously from today the customer tried to kiss her and drag her to his car. Today after the customer came back the manager asked the employee “did he kiss you on the lips? How did you let him get so close to you?” Which is 100% victim blaming. Once the employee got upset and slip 1 bad word the manager said he was going to write her up. The entire time the manager repeatedly told the employee to quit if she didn’t feel safe. I am very disappointed in how the manager was responding to an employee in crisis and will take my business elsewhere until Sams Club takes harassment and assault seriously.

The managers like to blame the victim when they get assaulted while on the job, highly recommended you shop somewhere else.

This Sam's club has a different layout than what I'm use to use to in NC. Seems like everything was opposite to what I'm use to. The store was clean and organized. There are loads of yellow tag deals around the store. I saw a few items I haven't seen at my local Sam's club. We were able to quickly check out in self check out. We picked up a few items (hot dogs, churro and drinks) from the food court area. All the items were tasty. We love the cheap prices. I have been a member for a month shy of 28 years and always had a positive relationship with the management and employees. But something has majorly changed this past year. The store manager is never seen and cannot be reached. The employees are usually in a bad mood which I assume is because of the store management. The lines are usually horrifically long, halfway or 2/3 of the way to the back of the store with very few cashiers no matter what time of the day or evening. The store is usually dirty.Last summer, the manager made a rule that the electric carts for handicapped shoppers could not go out of the store, not even to the handicapped parking spots or to the edge of the entryway where a handicapped customer could get into a vehicle. Only after getting in trouble with corporate did he reluctantly start allowing the carts to go out to the handicapped parking spaces, but as I say very reluctantly. Then last night, again he told the lady at the door to not allow me to take the electric cart out of the door. After checking our receipt, she informed us that I was to transfer my purchases into a regular cart and walk out. My son looked outside, it wasn't raining. So figuring that the problem was that it was too close to closing time, my son explained that I couldn't walk out to the parking lot. He told her that we are parked right out in a handicap parking spot, asked if I could just ride out to our van and he promised that he would bring the cart right back into the store. That wasn't allowed. So he transferred everything into a regular cart, took the purchases to the van and was going to bring in my wheelchair. Note: it would have been fine if I popped out of the cart and walked out of the store. The lady at the door knew that I was not able to walk out and that my son was getting my wheelchair. AFTER my son went out to get my wheelchair, the manager called the police and falsely accused me of stealing. Once the policeman talked to me and saw that it was a false accusation, the manager changed his story and said that I must have put them back. No, I BOUGHT A CART LOAD OF ITEMS!!!The manager obviously doesn't want handicapped customers, so I WILL NOT GO BACK. It's a shame after 28 years of shopping there that I'm no longer wanted just because I need to use an electric cart now.

Asking the customer to remove items from cart to reload it into another cart is not acceptable when checking out. That is role of cashier. This is not customer friendly service

?Kudos!! As you can see, SAMS employee wiping down Carts before handing them to customers.?It was medium crowded and the people kept their distance, which is surprising giving the number of people in there. The lines were long but they moved pretty quick. They had 2 Associates managing the lines, which help it to move efficiently and quickly. Luv SAMS!
