USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park is home to the WWII battleship USS ALABAMA and submarine USS DRUM. The park also showcases historic aircraft and military vehicles. All tours are self-guided. It is a must see, with very informative exhibits regarding life on ship. Visitors should set aside time to explore the ship, buildings, and spacious grounds. There are helpful volunteers, excellent information, and lots of room to take your time. The site features movies, simulators, and a Virtual Reality simulator. It is very well done, easy to get to with lots of parking, and has well thought out signage.
