Maxwell Commissary is a military grocery facility at Maxwell Air Force Base. It is a privilege established for active US military and families, as well as military retirees and veterans. Not everybody is allowed to go there. The commissary has lots of choices for a small grocery, though some wish for more low carb choices. It now offers an online order and pick-up service, which is fantastic and quick. The service is recommended so it is not lost. However, the air conditioning needs checking, as some items like chocolate bars were melting and sodas were warm. It is considered the best thing about the base.
