Great place to go get fit. I went at 6pm and the manager there was awesome. I highly recommend it.

This is the only Y facility in town that offers a steam room. Unfortunately, it's about as reliable as a McDonald's ice cream machine e.g it's never working any time you want to use it, which is a shame since they recently spent a good bit renovating it. I'm actually a bit suspicious that it is purposely turned off from time to time. They have a dry sauna as well, but it doesn't get over 100F for some reason (maybe the heating unit is underpowered for the size of the room?). These are known issues but there doesn't seem to be much urgency to fix the.. Also, there is no longer free towel service for members! Very frustrating to those who pay so much to support their local Y. On a positive note, the best thing about this place is the staff - they are super friendly and accommodating, and will always greet you coming and going!

I've been going to place for quite a while now. They have classes you can attend for exercises. They do not have a swimming pool though. Theirs another YMCA that's close. You could go there to swim.

My excerise routine was intense but exhilarating. A much needed workout. The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. The downtown Y is the place to be!

I’ve been coming down here since 1974. This is the best shape the facility has ever been in. Looking forward to a capital needs assessment for the future.

The atmosphere is always inviting. Nice, recognizable evening staff and administrators. Restrooms and locker rooms are clean, and the cleaning lady is there daily in the evenings. Parking is tight after 430p. A few machines downstairs could use an update. I love this Y, but it could use a few simple in-house updates to make the experience much better.

The downtown location is my personal favorite. I love the staff and the members as well. Although the building is not the most modern, the facility is completely remodeled and furnished with up to date exercise equipment. This location opens at 4-4:30 in the morning, and is the only location in the area with a steam room. The downside to this location is the fact that the steam room can be hit or miss in terms of temperature. All staff aren’t trained in knowing appropriate steam room temperatures and all do not have the authority to adjust.

Great place to workout, the people are also great too. Place is horribly unsanitary, bugs all in lights, dirty old carpet that hasn’t been cleaned in years. Very sad how unsanitary this YMCA is.
