If I could give them a Zero I would....I have been with Max for over six years and have never missed a car payment. I applied for a refinance on my car loan or rather a new loan and was denied. I was wanting to trade my car in with only 4 payments left. Although my credit decreased due to me getting laid off. I struggled and never missed a payment, but they didn't give that a second thought...Just like someone else mentioned, you can not get a loan with these people no matter how loyal and consistent you have been. I plan to close my account soon as I get my car traded. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!!! GOOD RIDDANCE!

Hold times are a minimum of 20 minutes, all the drive thru tellers are automated now so you don't have actual people handling your money. Tried to going chantilly, also automated. Will be switching to another bank

I financed a car loan through Max. When I paid it off a year early they charged a $2.40 finance fee after the fact. They do not allow you to make payments less than $5.00. Since I do not live locally, they referred me to one of their co-ops to pay off the loan. Not only was the process at the co-op frustrating, they also charged me nearly $20 in fees just to pay off the $2.40 charge. They charged me to deposit money at the co-op and then again to use the money I deposited. The process was confusing and when I tried to call MAX for support I sat on the phone for over 45 minutes and never got a call. I tried this multiple times with the same result. Zero out of Five.

Went to bed with 20$ woke up to -279$. Tried calling to resolve issue. Kept on hold for upwards of 20 minutes 3 separate times. Disconnected the first time. Second time the rep was curt and attempted to transfer to sup without resolving issue. When I got on call and told her about my problems she could care less. No accountability statement. Just straight to " give me your authentication info" in the most monotone voice ever. Refused to tell her who I work for and she tried to transfer me to sup. After that didn't work she hung up on me after coming back on the line to tell me what she tried to do without my consent. This company is garbage. I hate max. This only the most recent issue in a long line of issues with max. Im so beyond frustrated with max

Worst customer service ever. Currently on hold for over 50 minutes trying to report credit card fraud. 5 more additional fraudulent charges have come through during this time. Impossible to speak with someone. I really need a different financial institution after 25 years.

I've never written a bad review except for these people. It's the most frustrating company I've ever experienced in my whole life. I may have to get a lawyer. Nobody fixes anything. I pay every month on time but they still harassed me for Phantom late payments. Knock my credit report even though I've paid every month and every person I talk to says they see where I have paid but don't fix anything. It's a total joke of a business. Imo

I dealt with Ms. Angie McClellan for getting a car loan. She helped me immensely throughout the entire process. She was very responsive and never lost patience with me even though I'm sure I drove her crazy for 3 days. :) Thank you Angie! You are amazing!

Been member since 1971, and the only time I had trouble was when they introduced new software capability, that sometimes needed a little more quality control testing and some times the online system acts like a self licking ice cream cone, losing sight of what the mission of the online customer is, Overall this is a good bank to handle my financial requirements even financed my 1978 VW convertible in 1998!

It was a time when you walk to door of Max at closing time that they would let you in. I saw them closing the door and a customer was at the door right at 4:00 and they turn them away. Max was once like a small town bank friendly, now they act just like the big banks. Got to find me a new bank. Navy federal here I come. The bank at 3401 Malcolm Drive. One of the slowest banks in town.

I GAVE 1 STAR BECAUSE I CAN NOT POST WITHOUT RATING BUT I REALLY FEEL LIKE MAX DESERVES A BIG FAT ZERO!!!! Max use to be the go to for banking needs! After 21 years, I must say for the past 5 years it is the WORST, rude attitudes and not friendly at all, long hold time and will not work with customers over fixable easy situation! Max have one worker name LINDA in the call center & she take her job way to serious! I would not recommend MAX CREDIT UNION TO NO ONE!!

MAX has been my financial institute of choice since I arrived at Gunter Air Force Station in 1974. I have financed two homes and numerous cars with MAX and the service has been truly outstanding over the past 47 years. Thank you MAX!!!

I love Max. They always take care of my financial needs. They have the best rates I can find anywhere. They gave me loans both of my cars and soon will have my house. I cannot complain one bit. Service is always great and new business needs are always handled quickly and efficiently. I just set auto withdraw and never have to worry about late payments, which also gave me a lower rate.
