At $179/night, you’d expect a pretty snazzy (not luxury, but nice) little setup. I can’t believe Marriott allows their brand to be used to describe this property! There are shipping containers in the parking lot along with heavy equipment. The side entrances have key card locks for convenience…but they do not work. The stairway was torn up with musty old carpeting rolled up on the landings (at 10pm when I got to the hotel). The room had a layer of dust covering every horizontal surface. The toilet tissue was folded into a nice arrow shape, which was a cute touch considering the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned and both the sink and shower had pubic hair from previous guests. The room above mine must have been let to a heard of elephants because their children stomped and jumped until after 11pm. “Breakfast” was pretty bad, even by roadside motel standards. I came back to the hotel from a grueling 12 hours and found a big fat roach in the corner by the door. He was still moving to try and flip himself back over. It looks like they’re remodeling, but they’ve definitely not paid any attention to finish work. The sprinkler nozzles are just hanging under jagged drywall. The fixtures are worn, damaged, and in a general state of disrepair. The whole hotel smells musty. The dated motel-style air conditioner sounds like it is on its last leg and makes for a tough time trying to sleep—even for someone who is exhausted and typically sleeps like a rock. The cooktop was shattered on one corner. It looked okay from 10 feet away if you kept the lights off and squinted your eyes, but fit and finish was poor at best. 2/10 do not recommend. You can definitely find better accommodations for $89 per night.

Room was great. The breakfast was a bit lacking though. This seems to be the trend at most places.

It was difficult to cancel due to duplicate credit card payments, and the room is cleaned once every two days, but there is hair on the bed. There is no TV, breakfast is the same every day, and there is nothing on the menu. I recommend it. Absolutely not.

Coming in from a long drive, I was excited to finally get some rest. I had reserved two rooms. Needless to say, being that this hotel is so young in age, it did NOT meet my expectations at all. The bathtub was not cleaned in one of my rooms which led me to have to gather all my things and relocate to another room only to discover the floor had not been vacuumed, the shower was uncleaned and had hair in it. Did i mention, there was a used condom wrapper on the floor in one of the rooms. The floors in my other room had not been vacuumed as well, hair particles were in corners behind the door in the bathroom, and the vent in both bathrooms in each room did not work. It was completely obvious the floors in both rooms had not beed vacuumed at all. The lighting in the bathroom was dim and unacceptable for trying to get ready with hair and makeup applications. Evven the elevator was filthy. I was sooooo disappointed!!! If I had not been so tired, I would have left and found another hotel. I lysoled EVERYTHING because the rooms were not as clean as they should have been ESPECIALLY considering the newness of the hotel. This is the worse marriott hotel experience I have had.

The rooms are very dated, but they are renovating. The hallway smelled really bad. Our rooms TV had a purple tinted screen, and shut off randomly. Found hair on our pillow. Breakfast was good and we got out of there!

This is our favorite place to stay when in Montgomery. They are renovating the whole place - so things aren't perfect - but the room was clean, the pool was open and the staff was excellent. We will stay there again

So this place boasts a restaurant that serves breakfast? It is the lobby area with the same powdered eggs, some microwaved meat, an over ripe banana, and some type of cereal. I wouldn't be so picky if the price reflected the service and quality expectations. But the price was WAY to high for the service and quality. I would maybe pay $100 a night. The shower leaked into the bathroom floor... not user error. There was no ice maker on the floor, after being told there was. When I asked the desk person for an ice bucket, "we don't have any". After being told there was an ice maker, I informed the staff there was not," we are renovating, maybe they took it out"
If you have not been informed of changes, that's on management for not giving you the tools to do your job correctly. Bottom line for the $$$ the quality isn't really there. And quit telling people the is a restaurant serving breakfast.

This location is ran down. Upon arrival we ask for the two rooms that we had booked on the same floor. We were told they were not available. After we mentioned that we requested the rooms on the same floor the gentleman told us that there was a suite available on the same floor and he would just put us in that room “like he was giving us a free upgrade”. We go to the 4th floor and one of rooms that we were assigned had the door standing open, the floor smelled like weed and the hallway floor was disgustingly dirty, the walls and door were also dirty. There was blue tape on all the doors and the doors were cracked open except for a few rooms. Once we get to the other room “the suite” the temperature in the room was 86 but the thermostat was on 65. We were placed in a room with a broken AC. They did move us to a different room. In this room it was dirty. We pulled out the bed in the couch and food shot up in the air, there was food, chewing gum, and the mattress was visibly soiled. We had to go up to the old room to get the bedding and cover up the nasty mattress. We were tired from driving all day and just dealt with it. The quality of Marriott locations are on the decline and we are platinum members who use to love the quality of Marriott. We have recently started staying at Hilton locations and feel like it is time to make a change.
Rooms: Don’t waste your money staying here!

The staff at this TownPlace Suites is amazing—unbelievably friendly and helpful! The hotel is nice too, but the staff is what prompted me to leave this 5-star review (because, let’s face it, good service and helpful, friendly people are rare these days!). Regarding our room: room 216 was clean and comfortable. We slept well. Minimal noise from outside or the hallway, even though we were close to the elevator. The breakfast was really good, especially for a complimentary hotel breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here a few weeks ago and it was clean and nice. Stayed two nights this week and it was horrible. Room was nasty. Pubic hair on the toilet. Long black hair on the sink. Room smelled terrible. I am almost platinum Marriott member and this stay was terrible. There are other Marriott properties in this area and I would stay there. Not to mention there was a dog accross the hall and it barked all night. Once I spoke to the manager she acted like she cared. I saw her at breakfast this morning and she avoided me. Terrible hotel.

Molded Shower curtain, old and dated room. I can't believe I am at a Marriott property. The room was half-cleaned. Floors nasty with Hair and other items when we first entered the room. I am truly disappointed in this location as we have stayed here before with no problem.
Walkability: Close to restaurants and shopping areas.

It's been two days since the toilet broke, so they fix it;;
How do you watch the toilet?...
Some of the staff are friendly...
The room condition is sober, but it is spacious enough for single use.
There are many restaurants and supermarkets around the hotel.

Dated and dirty. Sadly I know the owners are trying to do their best but currently with their lack of staff the cleanliness standard has fallen by the waist side.
