Just recently moved here from out of state and had a very unwelcoming and rude experience at this post office for a first time visit. Front desk lady was very rude in addressing my questions.

Office staff is rude. Place has fallen apart in the last 2 years. Mail lady does not deliver mail to our house after living there for 15 years and have to pick up packages at the post office.
Update: still not delivering packages. Lazy and no accountability. No response from post master.

Used to love Odenville post office staff. Unfortunately, they have moved on or retired, and the employees they have working at the desk are slow and unfriendly amd condescending when they talk to customers. Believe me, we all know they are paid well, so they shouldn't cop an attitude with customers. Have had issues with the carriers over the years and their laziness. They will bust a box to shove it in your mailbox instead of walking to your door.

I've had a package there for almost 2 weeks. I've tried calling the local number to here 6 different times and 3 different days. I still can not get someone to answer the phone.
This place completely fell apart about 1.5-2 years ago. It's also probably 50% why my small business doesn't use USPS anymore. The other reason is bham distribution center is the worst.

Update: our household now has 2 packages that arrived odenville yesterday morning (should have delivered to us yesterday). Odenville sent them BACK to birmingham. Why? What is wrong with you people??
I have a package that odenville sent to talladega not once but twice! Now its back in birmingham processing all over again. Their answer? “It got put into the wrong bucket, mistakes happen”. So TWICE it “got put into the wrong bucket”???. No excuse for this!!

My mortgage payment was mailed from my mailbox on February 29th, as of today they haven't received it yet and today is March 12th, a 35.00 stop payment on my check, I have to pay. A month ago I had a package delivered in mail,box torn open and item was taken. Luckily the seller refunded my money. March 2nd I mailed my Odenville water bill, they haven't received it .

A friend of mine sent me a package on April 27th showed it was delivered to the mail box on April 28th. Well it was no where to be found and the box is to big to fit in the mailbox. I had filled out a complaint which was a waste if my time.package has never been found, non of my neighbors received it. Now my friend is having to send me another package. The contents in the package is something I have to have for work, so it will be about 3 more months before this package hopefully arrives.

I love coming here, I sell online and this place is always a joy. Mostly because the people working here are always super nice and understanding, they are always very helpful and smiling. It's just the normal you go in, give the packages, they weigh and you pay, but this ones always nice! Super cool and highly recommend if you want to ship something somewhere!

Constantly getting other people's mail.....and apparently they're to lazy to walk packages up to my porch so they leave them next to my garage door in the rain instead. Also they should obey speed limits in neighborhoods. 25mph means 25mph....not 40 down the hill.

I go out of my way to avoid this post office. My mail carrier is not only rude and lazy, but she actually uses my mail to get in my personal business. I actually got a call about a personal matter that she thought she needed to interfere in.I addition, I dropped off a package labeled Media Mail and the lady behind the counter (I think she was the Post Master.) said, "Are you aware that Media Mail is subject to inspection?" Whaaaat? Why would she assume that I'm labeling my mail so as to steal from the Post Office? Rude!If I could afford it, I would get a PO box at the Moody office and bypass them altogether. However, I've chosen to care for my elderly parents instead of get a full-time job and put them in a nursing home. So, extra expenses are not possible.
