Fortson moved my Dad's piano to our house a few years ago. They did a great job. My Mother even commented how professional your guys were and the good job they did getting the piano out of her home. You guys were the automatic choice for moving items this time from her house to ours. The same great service this time. Chris and the other gentleman (didn't get his name) did a great job. We are very well satisfied!!!

The Fortson team was terrific. Not only did they handle our belongings with great care and professionalism, they were fun to work with. April at the office was 100% real, not like someone reading a script. She talked to me like we’d known each other for years even though we have never met. She shot me straight about what it would take and how much it would cost. She didn’t let me pick a cheaper option just to get my $$ and then ask for a fortune later. Overall she got within about 8% just based on photos I took of our mess.
The four-man team was a mix of great strength, skill and even humor that made the day engaging and fun. Corey, who I presume was the crew leader, was a little serious and firm, but that ended up being great balance with the other three, who seemed to be having their time of their lives moving our stuff. You can’t put a price on a lighthearted attitude in a mover, and if you’ve ever paid a national moving company, you know how uneasy a bad attitude makes you feel while everything you own is being thrown into a box truck by a scowling beast.

The crew did arrive about an hour late, but called me before their 9am scheduled arrival to let me know they were late but headed our way.
They asked for a quick walk through and got right to work. They had guessed it would take 4 hours to load and got it done in 2.
They were very efficient with the load out, often having to work around my family as we were also loading items that had to be moved in our personal vehicles.
When they arrived at the new location, they took time to understand where things needed to go before they started. Once they started the unload, it went quickly in spite of my family being in the way, to include a small dog running about, to which they were kind, funny and engaging.
During the work, our AC unit stopped working and I was unable to find the breaker box, which was outside. One of the team took a minute and found it for me and got the air working again, all without missing a step with the move.
My parents are in their 70s and were often unsure or confused about where things should go, but Corey and team were kind and patient at every turn.
If anything could have been better, it was that I didn’t have a thorough understanding of the cost model and it was about $300 more than I expected. Part of that was it took them a half hour more than the 8-hour day so I had half an hour of overtime to pay. Still, it was $1500 cheaper than the next closest estimate and their personalities made it worth the cost.
Besides, I cost them at least an hour just getting in their way and chatting them up. It was worth the $300 extra to feel like some of my fishing buddies were doing my move. They never made me feel unwanted or in the way, although I know it was the case.
If I have any regret it’s that I only remember two of their names - Corey and Chris. The other two fellas were awesome too, I just stink at remembering names.
Oh, didn’t mention it was raining most of the day and not a drop of water got on anything? Magic or skill?

Fortson did an excellent job on our move from Oneonta to Madison AL. April was great in working with us for a moving date based on our schedule. It was a two day move and had the same team both days of Corey, Christopher, Travis, and Issac. The moving team did a great job and focused on what they were doing. Wrapped the furniture to prevent any damage and the price was very reasonable for the service provided. Fortson was great and did an excellent job. I Highly recommend them for your moving company. I would use them again

The moving guys showed concern about how my furniture was taken down and loaded on their truck. They did a good job with all the heavy furniture they had to move. Everything arrived in good condition. Nothing was broken. I hope I never have to move again but will use them again without reservations.
