Was car shopping this was the second dealer we went to, Rex was very nice and courteous and showed us multiple cars. We left and went to a few other car lots and searched online then return to Thompson to purchase our SUV. I love that they have a Carfax on every car so you can search the history and they also offer aftermarket warranties on each vehicle they sell. Very clean office, and all of the cars were clean and late models they also had a lot of Toyotas which are hard to find in the used car market

My grandfather Hudson Moore used to buy all of his cars from Thompson motors in the '80s and '90s and I always bought from major dealerships. Couple of years ago after using CarMax for my last six vehicles I decided to shop locally. We purchased a 2017 Buick enclave with around 95,000 mi and Rex talked me into buying the extended aftermarket warranty. This was a no-brainer in buying a used car and after checking the Carfax on the car I could see the history that it was well maintained so we went ahead and purchased the car and the warranty and after having the car a little while we started having some issues with the transmission and took it to Terry Sligh Chevrolet I was told the torque converter was bad. Being that this is an all-wheel drive car I was worried and felt a lump in my throat but the warranty company came through and what would have been a $5,800 repair only cost me a little over $400 in the taxes which is all I was responsible for. The car ran great after that and we love it. A few years after that my son turned 16 and it was time to purchase him a vehicle so we went back to Thompson and Rex showed us multiple vehicles and we settled on a 2021 Malibu midnight edition with around 70,000 mi. This car has a 1.5L turbo charged engine and CVT transmission and although everything was good on it we once again purchased this extended warranty for peace of mind. The price was good and they have several finance options and we had multiple choices to choose from on financing. Once again things went well and we have had excellent experience with the car and with Rex. So we've now had the original car we bought from there about 3 years and we traded it in to get a minivan and decided on a 20/20 Toyota sienna. One thing I've noticed is Steven and Rex keep a lot of Toyotas on their lot and these cars are very hard to find because no one wants to sell them they are very dependable. Steven and Rex went above and beyond for us and gave us a great deal on our trade-in and once again handled everything from paying off our trade in where we had borrowed against it and obtaining financing and giving me advice on the negative equity that was rolled over that really helped us out. I cannot say enough good things about Thompson motors about Rex and Steven. Our daughter is even thinking about trading in her Ford fusion titanium and getting her a Honda or Toyota herself from them. Definitely recommend using them

I went to buy my son his 1st truck, was racially profiled by REX. Rex was rude unprofessional. The guy made a comment about why I have 4 cars in my name . If it wasn’t for my son I would’ve gave Rex my 2 sense

Worst experience ever DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Bought a van from here 4 months ago engine light came on a month after. Now having transmission issues going to have to surrender the vehicle because I’m not paying thousands to fix it on top of the thousands to pay it off. Do not get a car from here unless you wanna be car less within the first 6 months and in debt on something that doesn’t even safely drive!!!

Every business regardless of enterprise should follow Thompson Motor’s model. This was the most seamless experience I’ve had buying a car new or used. Rex is an outstanding salesman with customer demand at heart. Got the truck I needed at a great price and recommend these guys to anyone. Check them out if you need wheels.

Purchased a 07 Chevrolet Colorado from them about 6 years ago, traded it back into them after a year into a 08 high milage Chevrolet Silverado and 5 years later it's still running strong without any major mechanical issues. Good place to buy a used truck but prices are a little high for the mileage.
