I have been taking my rescue felines here for five years. I have always been treated well by all the staff and my cats have received good care, even my monster Liam, who is very difficult.

This vet is awesome- they helped rule out physical health issues for my kitty girl & got her diagnosed with behavioral issues so she could get medicated. This vet actually listened to my concerns unlike any other place I’ve been to here- which has just dismissed me and told me my cat was fine! Everyone here is super sweet- I’d recommend!

I have waited many months to write this review to ensure any anger/ pain would not persuade my writing. With that being said, I hate that Dr. Cain works here, because she is a good vet. However, Dr. Misty, the front desk staff (Mitzi), and the vet techs... I can not express enough are horrible. I received a letter from Tigertown Vet Clinic that my miniature dachshund was due for his rabies vaccine and DHPP. I called and made an appt. In which I stated I was bringing him to get the vaccines I received a letter about. When placed in a room a vet tech came in and asked if he was getting the vaccines (whether she said DHPP or DHLPP I am not sure nor was I familiar with what the L would have stood for). Dr. Cain came in and wanted to show the staff in the back how cute Louie was, so she carried him back there and ended up giving him the vaccines while back there as well. As soon as she brought louie back, he began vomiting. Dr. Cain immediately stated "it's the lepto!" To which I thought "what is lepto?!" She injected him and stated he was having an allergic reaction and that he would have to stay and be monitored for a few hours and that they would call if anything changed or worsened. I never called, not wanting to be annoying, but when I arrived a few hours later his face had been completely swollen up. They then told me it would be $270. I stated that I didn't feel it was fair I had to pay for this as I didn't even give them the okay for them to give him the lepto vaccine. The front desk worker (Mitzi) got very aggressive and hollered to Dr. Misty that I had an issue and needed to be spoken to. Dr. Misty then told me that I had given them permission to give the vaccine by making the appt. Which I still don't agree with as my paper said he needed the DHPP and rabies vaccine. I reluctantly paid the $270. When I got home I knew louie was not right and he began pooping blood. I got in contact with a vet I know and she told me to rush him to emergency care. I flew to Montgomery and upon arrival the vet there said and I quote "who in their right mind would give this baby lepto". Louie was in GI anaphylactic shock and was very close to death. He was severely dehydrated and the vet was confused how Tigertown didn't noticed this. He stayed there over night and majority of the next day and I then owed another $1100. My mom eagerly waited to call Tigertown the next morning to which the front desk told her "dr. Misty is not here yet call back in an hour" and then when she called back it was "dr. Misty is in surgery" and then when she called again and asked, Mitzi, straight up hung up on my mom. Finally, we got in touch with Dr. Misty and she was extremely rude and said she would call the vet in Montgomery and get details of the incident and call us back. I will say, I was also being very rude to Dr. Misty, to which I then apologized. My emotions were very high, and we were not met with any kindness. When she called us back her personality had completely changed, knowing she sent home a dog that almost died. She filed with the lepto company and we were able to get the emergency vet bill refunded, but never was refunded by Tigertown. I have spoke to other people who have had an allergic reaction from a vaccine and the vet not charge them a dime. Dr. Misty is not in the business because she loves animals and enjoys caring for people, and that is a fact. Dr. Misty seemed to be very genuine later on and had me feel like she truly cared, so a couple of days later louie began throwing up and out of fear I called Tigertown to talk to dr. Misty. I informed them what was happening and that I wanted to see if dr. Misty would talk to me, to which I NEVER received a call back. To me, this speaks volumes. I know that everyone is human and even doctors will make mistakes, but I was never treated kindly or felt that my dog's health was of concern. If you love your pets, I would take them elsewhere. While majority reviews are excellent, and I have a very trusted friend wh

Absolutely do not go here. If I could give zero I would. I’ve been going here for three years with my dog and have always liked it until today. I went in for an ongoing issue with my dog and the vet Dr Misty left half way through the appointment without saying anything. After waiting for 30min a vet tech finally told us that the Dr Misty had left for the day and would be back next week. Even after being told that we had concerns and questions about what she had said, she still left. After finding out that the visit would cost $106 I informed the tech that I did not feel it was fair at all the have to pay for a visit the vet walked out on. Immediately I was told to never come back. I have always followed anything dr Misty said and paid everything that I was told, but this was just not fair. About 45min later after working everything out with the vet staff Dr. Misty came angrily back in the room and stated that we had made her come back from her sons doctor appointment, therefor she was upset. Even though we never requested for her to comeback. She then extremely unprofessionally and rudely, stated that my dog is not a child and therefore not important and that it is ridiculous that we had more questions. She barely let me talk and then left again, telling us never to come back. If you are looking for a vet that cares about your pet as much as you, the other vet Dr Cain is amazing but Dr Misty is the absolute rudest and unprofessional vet I ever worked with.

I cannot put into words how much care they show their patients…. Our border collie Maicee is a regular patient but today I brought in a rescue on zero notice or appointment and they worked him in. You could not even touch this puppy and Dr Carroll took her time(that she didn’t have to do) and just sat in the floor with the puppy for what had to be 30 minutes, just trying to get the pup just comfortable enough to even examine him. The staff eventually got the puppy comfortable enough to do a couple things with and set up a follow up appointment for Thursday. Only that when we got home we found some blood on him and I called Tigertown veterinary Hospital and they had me bring him right back up there. They went above and beyond, if I could give 10 stars I would

I chose Tigertown Veterinary Hospital to help me with the end of life services for my nearly 15 year old German Shepherd. The care and attention that she received from the vet and the techs was outstanding and solidified that my decision to choose them was the right one. Everyone was absolutely amazing and they make the hardest decision for me a little easier and let me know it was the best decision for her. I cannot thank our Vet and techs for the heart felt appointments and words. After her procedure, we chose to have her cremated and her ashes returned, and as a beautiful gesture, one of the techs created a paw print ornament for us. A few weeks later I received a card in the mail with all their condolences and was very appreciative of all the continued support. Thank you for giving Sadie a dignified and beautiful crossing over the rainbow bridge. ??

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the care my pet received at Tigertown Veterinary Hospital. I took my dog in for a checkup, and the vet told me that my boy had an arrhythmia. She then told me that she didn't feel comfortable prescribing him medication until he was seen by a specialist. Totally understandable! After the vet left our room the vet tech came in with her as they were discharging us. The vet tech said that Dr.Cain should start us on a heart med. I was very concerned about this, as I had never heard of a vet tech prescribing medication. But the Dr.Cain just kind went along with it after the vet tech brought up that "it wouldn't hurt" Mind you I asked if I could record the findings as I tend to miss things that are said so I have ALL of this recorded. I called the next day after my dog had serious side effects and to to ask about the medication. The receptionist put me on hold and talked with the owner. She came back and said that Misty (the owner) said to NOT give that to him as it would not give us clear results when we got in with the cardiologist in a few weeks. I am very upset that my dog was given medication without a proper diagnosis. NOT EVEN DIAGNOSED AND THEY ARE GIVING OUT MEDS. In addition, the receptionist was very rude and unpleasant. She made me feel like I was an inconvenience when i just have my pets best interest at heart as I should. I would not recommend Tigertown Veterinary Hospital to anyone!

We sought a second opinion about some procedures we weren’t sure our dog needed. TigerTown Ver got us in right away and were caring, clean, professional, and so helpful. They recommended a couple of the same procedures but their prices were lower and timeline was quicker. They explained everything in a professional but understandable way.Charges were reasonable and exactly as estimated before the procedures. We will definitely be going back for routine vet care.

Absolutely love this veterinary clinic. I can truly feel how much they care for my fur babies! I started using this clinic about a year ago when my Ginger was extremely sick with IMHA. They quickly jumped into action and saved my girl's life! Since then I have switched both my dogs to this clinic and will have to say you have a customer for life!! Thank you all for what you do!
