“Beautiful church. Great folks. Also check out the Christian store they run. Me and both my boys love buying toys from there. Ladies are always so sweet and helpful. You can also donate food to help out the food bank there which feeds many in Florala. Definitely the best church there!?”
“This Church was very welcoming! Multiple people reached out to us to see how they could further connect us! The people were kind and welcoming, and they seem to teach God’s Word with accuracy and passion! We went to a Sunday school class after the service for young adults/young married. The people in the class were very kind and the teacher spoke to us for a while before. Teaching was accurate and engaging!”
“Chad Middlebrooks (associate pastor) is a former Alabama State Marine Policeman who was honest and fair and let his Faith in God guide him in his duties. His Faith led him to leave ALEA and become a leader in his church. First as a Youth Minister and missionary at Santuck Baptist in Eclectic,Alabama, now as a associate Pastor. Chad follows his Faith and lives what he preaches. He is a man whom God uses as a tool to get the real message of Christ to others.”
“Thank you Lord for the wonderful service we had today. Coming from Jeremiah 29 chapter 10 verse though 11. subject GOD KNOWS. The Lord will close some doors, just to get you where you need to be, he already done maped out what is going to happen in our life. When you are going through pain the Lord will give you peace in the midst of it all. preaching is not what he is, it's what he do.”
“The people here are so welcoming and friendly it's a great atmosphere to Worship the Lord. The preacher has a great sermon and the music is great. I love it here.”
“I have not visited First Baptist but read about it in the paper today. They seem like good people. Misty, a young federal court worker, spoke the truth: : “Satan is the master magician."Indeed, Satan is insidious. He is the father of lies. And he seems to have this church of solid Baptist Christians twisted and fooled over what to think of Mr Trump. They know all ready what they think about a new memorial to victims of lynching. The article continues with Linda and Sheila:"To her, this was a moral threat far greater than any character flaw Trump might have, as was what she called “the racial divide,” which she believed was getting worse. The evidence was all the black people protesting about the police, and all the talk about the legacy of slavery, which Sheila never believed was as bad as people said it was. “Slaves were valued,” she said. “They got housing. They got fed. They got medical care.”She was suspicious of what she saw as the constant agitation of blacks against whites, the taking down of Confederate memorials and the raising of others, such as the new memorial to the victims of lynching, just up the highway in Montgomery.“I think they are promoting violence,” Sheila said, thinking about the 800 weathered, steel monoliths hanging from a roof to evoke the lynchings, one for each American county where the violence was carried out, including Crenshaw County, where a man named Jesse Thornton was lynched in 1940 in downtown Luverne.“How do you think a young black man would feel looking at that?” Linda asked. “Wouldn’t you feel a sickness in your stomach?”“I think it would only make you have more violent feelings — feelings of revenge,” said Sheila."I am not a young black man but I feel sickness in my stomach when I remember the lynchings. Even if you agree with Satan (through Sheila) that, "Slaves were valued", how can you not be heart-sick and broken over lynchings in your lifetime? Why doesn't Sheila herself feel more violent feelings of revenge? Or, since she is a Christian. why doesn't it make her wish to acknowledge those who were lynched in her neck of the woods? I am afraid she might get to hear not only birds from her cabin in heaven -- what if the screams of those her community abused and lynched over many years haunt her and she just won't hear the birdsong...This church has been bamboozled to believe Mr Trump is worth supporting. It seems to be a group of Christians who are not so very Christian. Except that I know what i read today doesn't accurately portray the whole story. Does it?Was the article an accurate portrayal of this Conservative Southern Baptist Church? If the author lied, I would like to know. If it's a true story, I would encourage Pastor Crum to look more carefully after his flock. This church needs a blast of the Gospel Good News of Christ. Only the Light of Christ can open the eyes of Christians stuck closed in darkness.Boy, do i sound pompous. I guess i do sound haughty and uppity and democraticky. Finally, I would be afraid to visit this church. Rather, I would dread visiting this church, based on what I read in the newspaper today.”
“It was a privilege and an honor to join in with The Fellow Saints and worship The Most High, especially given I knew a few in attendance. Thank you for The Invitation and Warm Welcome… I’ll be Back”
“I've only been here 1 time about 10 years ago, typical big southern Baptist church. The people that I know go there and had talked to then are very friendly”
