The manager Trip and technician, were very helpful on a Sunday morning when I had a flat tire on departure day to return home. Highly recommend!

One of the worst experiences I’ve had. My car stopped on me while on vacation. I towed it there Tuesday morning, was told they’d get to it by the afternoon, I called that night they said one car was in front of me but they’d get to me first thing in the morning, I’d be the first car in. Called Wednesday morning they said it’d be that afternoon, went to the shop that afternoon, they said they think it possibly may be a fuel pump but they still can’t diagnose it. I informed them that me and my family were leaving Friday morning. This matter was urgent. Thursday comes around and I called them again, they said they still had no answers because of the readings but it may have been a lack of gas so my wife got some and brought it to them. They proceeded to say it was just out of gas and nothing was wrong. Friday morning my wife got an hour outside of the city and it broke down again. We had it towed to another shop that is now fixing our fuel pump. 1. If they didn’t have the time to look at the vehicle, they should have told me to get it sent somewhere else. 2. I had to call for every update. Nobody communicated with me on their own. 3. Once I called for a refund, they acted as if they had to check and see what happened and they’d call back. They NEVER did. I then had to spend $500 plus dollars on a rental for the week to go back to Chattanooga and drive back down Wednesday to pick up my car from Firestone. I will NEVER use another pep boys again. Terrible customer service, and a blatant lack of urgency when it came to working on my car and doing it in a timely fashion.

This “Pep Boys” location is more like the Xanax Boys!!! They have no pep and are extremely slow. They had my vehicle for an entire month and didn’t figure anything out except that it was an “electrical issue” .
I ended up bringing it to another mechanic and they had it started and fixed within 4 hours!!! This vehicle was a daily driver for me and I told them this multiple times. The whole situation was mind blowing!!!
Do NOT recommend!!!!

So I’d use extreme caution. The guy who was going to check my fiancé in refused to allow the guy before him to stay while they changed his oil and claimed it would take them from 8am-5/6pm. Maybe he didn’t reserve a spot so okay. Then my fiancé got up to the counter to check in for our appointment time to have a sound looked for and new tires put on. Now we knew this would be a few hours. But we are on vacation and only have the one vehicle and again the guy told my fiancé he couldn’t stay. So we ended up going to
A different place. But it’s very questionable not letting people stay while you work on their vehicles. Just seems like they are up to no good. It also ask when you schedule the appointment if you are staying which we marked yes. So it’s not like they don’t allow it as a company. So I’d just be cautious it was just odd.

Wow did I get ripped off. They told me I needed a new power steering pump in September 2024. My car was making a horrible screeching sound. Cost about $1200. Within 2 weeks the sound was back. I couldn't afford to fix it then. I took the car back in June of 2025, they said the pump needed replacing again but was under warranty so I only had to pay $200 for a serpentine belt and some other incidental things. Within 2 days it was having problems. Took the car elsewhere and was told the steering system wasn't flushed (which I had paid for) so pieces of metal were in the system essentially ruining the new part again. In hindsight that's probably what happened the first time causing the first pump to fail. Cost $475 to fix that. Pep Boys also charged me to replace the serpentine belt which they didn't do. The repair place I took it to post-Pep had to clean all kinds of oil and gunk off the belt and engine that Pep spilled all over. Took 4 days at Pep, so $200+ in Ubers to get to work. Do not go here.

Brandon Tripp was great ! Sam and Mason too. I emailed customer service to add a few more details to this event --
And look forward to returning to see these guys again. Thanks so much Pep Boys !

I was returning from vacation and had car issues. Stopped at Pep Boys and they assisted me. I had to leave my car overnight and return to my home (200 miles away). Returned two days later and the car was repaired (and at a fair price). Agent was professional and very helpful (Chase-Orange Beach, Alabama).

Super friendly and helpful staff at front desk, very personable.. we picked up a nail while traveling, they got us back on the road in less than an hour! They took special care of our new Porsche! 😌

Be careful using this place. They tried to charge me double what they originally quoted for a trailer tire. The manager finally intervened and he was great to work with. But the guy behind the desk was completely incompetent and basically told me it was my problem not his. The manager agreed there was no way a trailer tire should cost that much and he corrected the amount to what was originally quoted. Way too much time and hassle to get a single trailer tire changed out.

Great customer service! Had a 10:30 appointment for an oil change. Manager did inform me that it was going to take a little longer than expected as they were short staffed. All good, he was apologetic for it, but this was completely out of his control. Always makes a difference when someone genuinely cares about what they do. Will be back

Terrible customer service. Scheduled an 8 o’clock appt the night before. Wait time was 7-8 hours for tire repair. Front desk was unbothered by it and offered no reasoning.

I took my vehicle in to have the battery replaced. They drug the battery across my fender causing several scratches. I notified them as soon as I got home and took the vehicle back to them. They are now saying they didn't cause the scratches. Terrible customer service. The scratches are not severe but they were definitely not there when the vehicle was brought to them.
