We had my kids sixth birthday here and it went so well! The staff members here went above and beyond to make sure our party was excellent and they were so great with the kids! If your child loves to craft, I would highly recommend booking a party at this location!!!

Looked on the website for an item and it showed that it wasn’t at this location; however upon calling the store, the rep advised that had the item in stock. I asked the rep if she could hold it for me, and she agreed. I arrived at the store in less than 15min and the rep that I spoke to on the phone was actually was working in the front. She advised they hadn’t brought the item up to the front, but directed me where to go in the store. This was an inconvenience due to me being in a rush. I went to retrieve the item and asked for the mgr to see if they would honor the 20% savings coupon from the website. The manager had to be called to the front twice and it took approximately 15min in an empty store. She wasn’t apologetic, but she honored the 20% coupon once I showed her. The inconvenience of having to go thru the store to find an item I’d just called for and then wait for the manager is the reason I gave the 3 stars.

I made my 2nd and last visit to our local Michael’s in Anniston, AL. I made a special trip to buy an oblique calligraphy pen. I couldn’t find it, so I asked an employee and she directed me to the pens. I told her I needed one with a cartridge for the ink and specifically didn’t need a dip pen. She handed me one and I proceeded to the register. An older lady was sitting in a chair and stood up to ring me out. She seemed aggravated that she had to stand. She NEVER said one word to me which I thought was rather inappropriate. I left without a “thank you” or a “come back to see us”. I opened the pen when I got home and it was the wrong pen (no cartridge). After church today, I went to return it. She looked at my receipt and said, “ ‘this was on clearance and is a final sale.” I told her there were no signs to indicate this. I even went over and checked for a sign, went back and told her again there was nothing to indicate a clearance. When I told her that, she showed me the receipt and said, “see the “C” that means clearance”. That C meant nothing to me. I asked to speak to the manager and she said she was the manager! I couldn’t imagine someone this hateful and unfriendly managing anything, especially a place of business! Needless to say, I left with intentions of never returning. Aren’t clearance items supposed to be marked ? There was nothing to indicate such. Sure wish I had made a picture! She probably hung a sign after I left.

I enjoyed shopping here but I couldn’t find the prices to some items. If the prices were available I would have definitely spent more money.

I have always preferred Michael’s over hobby lobby as I grew up in an area where Michael’s were more accessible. Most of the employees who were stocking today were very kind and helpful. The entire experience was ruined by the older lady at the check out area. She completely took over while we were at the self checkout register, had a horrible attitude, and truly made me feel like I wasn’t welcome. Gave the vibes that she was already angry and just wanted us out of there. We did nothing prior other than walk the isles to find what we were looking for. Overall poor experience.
