After paying the full amount of my monthly bill, my power was abruptly disconnected by Alabama Power. They informed me that I had a past due balance and required me to repay this amount, despite the fact that I had already paid it. Alabama Power’s management is subpar, and their customer service is equally unsatisfactory. The representatives who answer the phones exhibit a lack of professionalism, displaying rude behavior and providing inaccurate or unhelpful information when asked questions.
In essence, a sheep would serve as a more suitable representative and offer services.

The service my grandmother was given was absolutely unacceptable. I am not one to ever leave bad reviews and I know people have bad days… we’re all human! However, treating someone who’s elderly like the way she was treated is disgusting! Alabama Power was scheduled to show up on a specific day which did not happen. My grandmother was with family and friends having dinner and she got a call that they would be there 30 minutes to an hour (not the day that they were scheduled to come) so she got my grandfather in the car who has dimentia and tried to make it to their house as fast as possible. When she arrived to her house there were two younger men there who did not help whatsoever in fact they just dropped off the washer and dryer and was upset they had to “wait.” He stated “I do not get paid to sit here and wait.” What a way to treat your clients alabama power!

Alabama Power is a failed company. It does not deserve even one star. As a former resident of TX I can assure you that their rate is too high. Unlike in TX, here in Alabama, where I live, the residents are forced to use only Alabama Power, there is no other company we could choose. You'd think that in a free market called Capitalism, the citizens would be able to pick and choose, but no! Not when it comes to electricity.
What bothers me the most is the fact that they install on your walls a Smart Meter, and would not agree to come and change it. You cannot opt out of this device that's been proven to spread radiation and be highly dangerous. It is written online that one can opt out of Smart Meters but when you call them, they will give you an attitude and refuse to dismantle it. You cannot opt-out! Who should I call first? My attorney or RFK Jr.?

The employees here were very friendly and very helpful. I didn't feel like I was just another customer. I felt very welcomed greeted with a smile and I mean a genuine smile not just one of those that you can tell is being force. The gentleman on the showroom floor was very eager to help but did not give off the salesman attitude he let my wife and I just look around and check everything out.
