About Alabama Wildlife Center
The Alabama Wildlife Center is Alabama’s oldest and largest wildlife rehabilitation facility. It is a calm and clean space where injured and orphaned wild birds receive care. The people are lovely, nice, and very informative. Visitors can view gorgeous birds, including education birds that are happy and healthy, and walk beautiful trails. The facility rehabilitates animals so they can go back into the wild, often providing follow-up information on their recovery. It is a nonprofit supported by donations, members, and volunteers. The center also holds education events like Chirps and Chips. It is a place many love and definitely recommend.

The process used at the bird hospital was amazing. I liked the offer to pick the bird up when ready to release in its area of birth.

They took 4 orphaned baby bluebirds from me. They keep you informed of progress and will allow you to be involved in the release of the birds once they are ready. Very kind and helpful staff.

This is definitely some place we'll try to visit again. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the birds and the treetop trail was beautiful to see.
