it doesnt matter what time it is when you try to call A`F`C`U any branch they dont answer the phone i was on hold for 1hr the i decided to drive to plhem branch when i`m still on hold iwalk in and all4 ladies just standing around just talking to each other ignoring the phone its verry bad when you need hellp with your account and is no help they need to Hiring new employees and new Management so they can gave the Customer 100% service

Been a member for 40 years. Somewhere along the line AFCU decided answering their phone is not mandatory. Multiple experiences with this. Some great people working there but quality definitely not what it was.

I have had nothing but good service from America's First. Loan rates were the best, credit card services wonderful (credit unions usually are). Mobile banking stuff is great. As is normal paper work setting stuff up can be tedious but even with that hassle it's well worth banking with them. Everyone is facing challenges with hiring but never had an complaints about the people I have dealt with. They keep getting more and more of my business.

Don’t use them. They charge me seven $30 fees in 1 month. I went to find out why they keep charging me theses fees they would only give me $120 back. I am struggling to pay bills and put food on the table. That is the customer service after 7 years of banking with them.

I'm a member, already. But they promised me one thing, and then reneged, and were unable or unwilling to explain their reasoning. I recommend avoiding this business. If you must use their services, record all communications and keep detailed records. You will need them to protect your interests.

I’ve been a member for almost all of my 18 years in Alabama. Having moved where the Pelham branch is the closest location to me I found out Thursday before closing my account to go to a different branch. My wife’s wallet was stolen while on vacation, we cancelled cards, however the paper with the important numbers that any thief would live was also in her wallet. I walked into this branch around 3 p.m, 2 account specialists helping 1 member while I sit in the lobby for nearly 20 minutes until I’m helped. To only be told there was nothing that could be done since the card was cancelled. Glad their debit card machine was broken and I had to go to another branch anyways in order to obtain a new card. Turns out another branch advised I close the account. Not to mention having a branch manager previously calling me stupid to my face.

They lye. U never get the same answer from any 1. U call an phone says receiving high call valume. U go in in an some on there phones texting. Or walking around like they looking for Easter eggs. I filled out paper work 2 have my credit card payment 2 b taken out of my account. They didn't tell me that when the card was closed out. That it wouldn't b taken out. A sorry credit union for sure. Go anywhere but

IF I COULD GIVE THIS FRAUD UNION A NEGATIVE-0 IT WOULD DEFINITELY BUT THAT!!! SENT MY DAUGHTER IN TODAY TO DEPOSIT A CASHIER CHECK THAT MY UNCLE SENT ME TWO WEEKS AGO TO HELP WITH CLOSING COST ON MY HOME!! BETWEEN WORKING,MOVING AND TRYING TO CLOSE ON TIME I TOTALLY FORGOT TO DEPOSIT IT!! THIS CLOWN OF A TELLER BASICALLY TOLD MY DAUGHTER THAT IT WAS A FRAUDULENT CASHIER CHECK!! IT’S MORE THAN ONE CREDIT OUT HERE CLOWN!! IT CLEARLY STATED WHAT CREDIT UNION ITS FROM ALL SHE HAD TO WAS CALLED THE CREDIT UNION IN FLINT,MICHIGAN TO VERIFY IT!! THIS BLONDE CLOWN REFUSE TO GIVE BACK ! I WAS SO TICK OFF I HAD TO LEAVE WORK EARLY AND GO STRAIGHT TO AN ATTORNEY OFFICE TO SEE WHAT I CAN DO BECAUSE THE OTHER CLOWNOF A MANGER THERE HAS NO CLUE

Wish I would rate 0 stars. Worst banking experience in my life. I have no idea how they keep customers because they surely don't have ANY customer service skills. Would never recommend anyone to visit this branch.

I have auto loans here. Interest rate competitive. Employees have always been friendly and helpful. This branch is quick and efficient.

I would normally give this company a good review. However a month ago I tried to deposit $300 into my account using the ATM/Deposit machine the bank was closed the day I went. I tried to deposit three hundred dollar bills and one was given back to me. I tried to deposit it again and it took $200 and didn't read the 3rd one. So only $200 was put in my account. I called customer service said I'd have to call the bank Monday. I called Monday and a ticket was put in with the company who handles the machine. $100 was put in my account until it was disputed. A month later I just looked at my checking account and $100 was taken back. I called the bank they transferred me to customer service she tried to message the woman who did the transaction. She's supposed to call me back still hasn't. They can check the cameras to see what happened I'm not lying. It's not right to take $100 out without informing the customer. Because you don't know what's going on in someone's life or what bills were paid. I'm upset and I feel like there's nothing I can do.

I completely agree with the other negative reviewers, especially the ones commenting on the employee, Gabe...not sure what he's still doing there, maybe he's holding something over their head or something, but he has zero customer service skills, the others there aren't much better. I worked in the banking industry for several years and know from experience that it's not a difficult task to put a smile on your face and speak in an energetic manner. There really needs to be some customer service training done with this branch. The customer service line is just as bad, it's like pulling teeth to get help with your account, only after they ask you every question under the sun to verify your identity...maybe their next question should be to ask your blood type! The bank has good benefits and such, but their employees are dragging them down!

I went in to submit an application for a home loan. I spoke to branch specialist Gabe S. Whited. This gentleman didn't seem to care if I applied or not. He showed no signs of interest in serving a customer. I have my own business and serve a lot of customers. I can personally say that if I showed the amount of interest Mr. Whited shows I would probably starve.
