I was overcharged for a car rental and have been trying to contact the local manager via onsite visit, phone messages multiple times and messenger multiple times. I cannot get any response at all. I’m so dissatisfied and will be reaching out to Budget corporate, Southwest Airlines who I booked the rental through and providing negative reviews on as many social media outlets as I can find. I was in Birmingham to be with a terminally ill family member and the last thing I needed was poor customer service from a car rental agency.

Be sure to verify your reservation. I had cancelled a reservation, then prepaid a new reservation for a better deal. But, when I picked up my car they used the cancelled reservation and charged me twice. Because this is a franchise location they refused to refund the higher cost because I did not catch it before the car was returned. There is a BIG disconnect between corporate and franchise locations even though everything was reserved through the same website. I'm still trying to get my refund 3 weeks after the fact. Will never rent from this location again!!!!

We had an issue with an online reservation. Michael went above and beyond to make it right. He understands the lost art of customer service. We will use this location for all of our future rental needs!

I wish I could give this place zero stars. We went in today to pick up our car we've had reserved for weeks. Upon getting there the guy asked where we were going. I told him and he asked how we were getting there. I thought he was just making small talk. He then proceeds to tell me that he can't rent to us because we'll be driving through New York. He says Budget doesn't allow their cars to be driven in New York. Not once was this mentioned or asked about when I made the reservation or they called to confirm last week. Now here it it hours before we are supposed to leave and we are scrambling to find a car.

This location discriminates against women! I’ve been told by two agents at ext 2 that I must have the same last name as my husband or they won’t acknowledge the marriage. I offered to produce a marriage certificate but as they don’t have an on-site printer, they said they would not accept the State of Florida marriage license online certificate (all marriages are public documents). I asked to see this policy in writing but they could not produce one, and the online policy does not state any of that. Shameful!!!!

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL & RUDE!! THAY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER SEEN. GO TO ENTERPRISE CAR RENTAL THEY ARE THE BEST!! I REPEAT "DO NOT RENT ANYTHING FROM BUDGET CAR RENTAL OUTSIDE OF THE AIRPORT IN BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA.

I couldn't leave a lower score or I would. Rude, inept and uninterested in satisfying customer service. After an 11 hour trip, these drips refused to rent a car with proper ID and a major credit card. These people believe they're playing Mother, May I! I would NEVER recommend this place!
