The isles where unsanitary and all of the milk jugs where sticky as if something was spilt on them and never wiped off. More self check out registers than open lanes with employees

There was only two registers open and one Self checkout open we were there for at least an hour and a half and all I saw was workers walking around and talking to in between isles

If you need to do pick-up, I would not choose this location. The first time I used them I had a 4-5 time frame. at 4:00 I received a message saying "my order is delayed." I did not pick-up my groceries until almost 7 that night after waiting in line for close to a hour because they were so backed up. Today I placed another order for the same time frame. Received the same message. I have cancelled this order, because I know it will be the same mess. If they can not keep up with the workflow, less times should be available for pickup. Both of these orders were placed at 8:00 in the morning. Plenty of time to have my groceries ready by 5 at night! It's absolutely ridiculous! They shouldn't even offer the service if they can't do it.

Walmart Adventure continues.... Thankfully this store had a product I had been looking for, so I placed the order and off to Pelham we went. Thankfully Walmart has their pickup area donated by those bright Orange signs, so we were able to find where to go fairly quickly. Pickup was located near the rear/side of the store... very remote and far away from other people and vehicles. I would not feel comfortable coming here by myself at night. On the plus side, our order was out super fast!

This Wal-mart location is decent. It's not the best out there, but it is ok. The drive-up / pick-up online orders location is off to the side of the building, and while it allows a quick delivery from the building, it just feels a little isolated and sketchy. I would not want to pick up from there at night. Store is fairly clean, and the employees were friendly enough.

This store has got to be one of the worst Walmarts in the greater Birmingham area. These days at Walmart you have more customers doing self-checkout than there are open registers with employees there to help you. You have other employees walking around doing nothing but talking on their cell phone and when you stop to ask a question, they act as if it was the worst inconvenience they've ever experienced just having to speak to a customer. The majority of employees couldn't care less about the customer, they're only there doing as little as they can to get by and get a check. I've never seen anyone go above and beyond to help someone out at this location. I was there a couple weeks ago and the service desk was supposed to be open till 7: 00pm yet at 6:16pm, all the lights were out and there was no employee around anywhere. I was told in an I really couldn't care less tone and attitude that "oh yeah they're closed." What good is it to post opening and closing hours if you're not going to adhere to them? How is it fair to the customer to drive all the way there based on Walmart's open/close time schedule only to get there and realize that it's not open. I responded on the Walmart website and as always and as was expected, no response whatsoever. Walmart has gotten simply too big and they get away with this type of behavior because they feel like they are too big to fail and no one can touch them. I know this issue seems rather trivial but when you fight traffic to get to a specific location for a specific reason and you get there and you cannot accomplish what you had set out to accomplish it's rather frustrating. Particularly when the reason you could not accomplish your goal was because Walmart is not standing up and honoring their end of the deal.

I have to give them props for their COVID era contactless shopping process. Walmart overall has done a great job with their ordering process on the app. It is easy to check to see which store has the items I want so I can get all of the items I want in one stop. I love that I can see the prices on the items and that Walmart does NOT increase the prices to cover for the convenience of having someone do the shopping for me. Sometimes they are out of an item after I order it but that is not that frequent so I can easily overlook it. There is an option on the app to let the store know I am on my way to pick up my item and when I get to the store, my location has been tracked and all I have to do is hit the number of the parking space I am in. I have only had GREAT experiences with the pick up process and Im so thankful for this option for buying my groceries and other items. I come here about twice a month for an order and it is always super easy and quick. I could not recommend it more.

I love this Walmart! I'm here often I feel like the employees know me personally! I even lost my ID here and they held it in their back office! All transactions are easy and well as returns. Great stock and helpful employees.

I will say that this Walmart location wasn't as terrible as the one in Hoover since I had some Amazon woman there try to run me over with her cart and say "F- you, B-!" So at least no one's done that to me at Pelham's location. Unfortunately, I hadn't been to a Walmart in years since I've lived so close to Super Target or other similar stores. Luckily, this is a stark reminder that I won't be back to one for years either. The first time I came here, I was in a hurry and needed some cushions for the sofa on my patio. When I got to the gardening section, the woman proceeded to tell me about how they "just had some the day before but they had a 50% off sale and had just sold out the day before", etc., etc. She kept going on and on and I just didn't care. Unlike someone from here, I don't feel an obligation to pretend to be interested, because I was in a hurry and where I'm from people's time is valuable. Today, against my better judgment, I came back and needed to get my car's belt tightened. First of all, I went to the opposite side of the store because when you come in straight toward the building, there's no indication, whatsoever, on the outside of the building that's visible that they have an auto body section. So I went to pick up and asked a patron outside if they had one. He told me it was on the opposite side. So I spend another 10 mins waiting on people to cross into the store to get to the opposite side. I pull up and park my car right outside the garage, anticipating needing to pull in, but unsure whether they had an opening or even whether they did stuff like tightening belts. I sat there, no joke, 10 mins. All the while, 3 or 4 dudes are just fartin around in there, only one car even being worked on. My belt's loud, btw. So if anything, I assumed they'd at least notice it and deduce that my car needed servicing. Finally, some huge dude half-assed saunters over to my car, SINGING, like he's got nothing better to do (mind you, he's at WORK) and finally tells me what I waited 10 mins to hear: "We don't do that." That was all I needed to hear. Did a 3 pointer and squealed my way outta that cesspool of laziness and will NOT be back.

By far, a nicer location than the Alabaster store. The Pelham location is cleaner, better stocked, and the cashiers are a lot more pleasant than what I've come to expect from Walmart. If it weren't three times the distance from my house than the Alabaster store, I would go here for all of my major grocery shopping.

Checked out at register 8 at 5 p.m. on 5-23-19. Two young ladies at the register talking about being hungry and wanting a snack...neither of which ever even looked at me or spoke to me. One with very long green painted nasty looking nails was complaining about her trainee going on break, calling her "the Mexican girl", who returned just before I left, told me thank you and to have a nice day...I wished her good luck...she's going to need it.

It is what it is......Walmart. Cheapish prices & fully stocked on what I need. I shop here for a small amount of items. I run in & run out. I do not interact with workers. I use the self check out.
