I came in to the Pelham, AL location to get an oil change and walked up to one of the two service people. I asked about a standard oil change and Shaun, who I was not talking to, tried to tell me my car could only get synthetic. That it would be unable to take standard oil. This is not the manufacturers recommendation, so I said as much. Jamie, who I was talking to, tried to cover saying, "since it's what Firestone recommends they have to say it and that the work would not be "guaranteed or covered" if I thereafter chose a standard oil change". My car takes a standard oil change. Full stop. The idea that Firestone would not cover what the manufacturer says is correct is B.S. Shaun tried to talk at me at random all the rest of my visit, addressing me by name. Not to smooth it over,--he seemed bored; trying to agitate me further for fun. There was another person waiting; he never addressed them at any point. As I waited, they discussed with each other how a customer had called prior about several services they had asked to have done that didn't seem complete after they'd left. Shaun bought up how the mechanic had finished all four things that included an oil change, tire rotation, and etc. in under 30 minutes. Jamie agreed it was way too fast and he COULD NOT have done the work. It seemed clear they had vouched for the work but were talking about how there was no chance it was actually done. Not that they would say anything about it or do anything about it, just that it was clearly a lie they had vouched for to the customer. After this, Shaun took a call where the customer apparently asked if Firestone did a particular tire service for his truck type. Shaun scheduled it, but once off the phone, bad talked the customer with Jamie participating. They both talked about what an idiot the customer was for wanting that kind of tire work done and how it would cause huge issues with their vehicle. Again, just like the first conversation, right out loud like the other person and myself were not there in the waiting room. Never suggesting to the customer it was cause an issue ...just a "come in at x time". This would have been weird if I didn't remember Shaun were objecting to the online coupon I had for my service. I guess if you're willing to pay full price, to hell with what Firestone will/ won't guarantee, right. I was up against a travel deadline and needed this oil change (and watched my car like a hawk during the service), but who would want to come back here for service.

They really helped me out! Hate they cut back on OT but I let them know I understood and I was not upset about having to wait for my car over the weekend. Their prices are better than anywhere else for oil changes!

Asked for a 60K service on my Toyota, and got 250+ dollars of NOT required/requested service added. If you go here make sure to see the details of service BEFORE you ok it. This place used to be good, but had gone down hill.

Everyone I encountered at Firestone in Pelham was kind and helpful. They were very thorough and provided great service. I'll definitely be a repeat customer and I'd recommend them to everyone.

I have always been able to trust Firestone. I always feel confident that they are honest based on my many trips to their locations over the years.

Employees were professional, knowledgeable about their work and what I needed specifically. They didn’t try to oversell something that I didn’t need, and felt trustworthy!

Last Friday, December 22, 2023, I had an appointment scheduled for 2pm. I had to move it to yesterday at 2pm. Jamie answered my call on Friday, but when I came in yesterday, Jamie greeted me & could not find my appoint due to “somebody not putting it in the system” (which would have been him). After arriving at 2pm for my appointment that was mishandled, I waited for 2 hours before noticing my car still had not been taken back. It took a total of over 4 hours for my car to be completed for an oil change, an alignment, and a tire rotation. Mind you, there was only one other person in the lobby who had been waiting before me. When called, Jamie consistently cut off my family speaking to him & continued to do this in person with me, too. The lack of professionalism was astonishing. As somebody who works in customer service, Jamie needs better understanding and empathy- severely. On top of all of this, while waiting for my car to be finished, I watched as one of the mechanics whipped my car in & out of the parking lot to check my alignment with a speed that should not have been used when driving a car that did not belong to them.

The worst oil change service I have ever received. Go anywhere but here.I had an oil service completed on Nov 20th. Even though I had an appointment early in the morning, it still took the tech 2 hours to complete an oil change. Over the Thanksgiving holiday I noticed a significant oil leak. When opening the hood, I noticed the top engine cover was not secured and the battery terminal covers were not reinstalled correctly from the service. Called the service center on the 28th and was told to bring it in to check for the oil leak. The tech stated there was a leak at the oil drain plug and it was fixed. Took the car home and looked under to ensure no more leak. Noticed the service center did not replace the splash guard under my engine. Called back and spoke to Jamie, who condescendingly told me “Well we didn’t throw it away, bring the car back and we'll reinstall the part". When I arrived back to the service center (this is the third visit for just one oil change) I was told they didn’t have the cover. I know it was on before I took it in, because it had oil all over it from the first service. Spoke to George, the manager. He said he would make it right, and order a replacement splash guard (this part will cost hundreds of dollars if I have to replace it myself). It has now been over two weeks from them losing the part and although I have called and spoke to George, who told me he was “going to call his supplier right now”, still no confirmation that the replacement part has been ordered. After two weeks, the car still has an oil leak, this time from the oil filter canister, most likely due to the fact the tech over tightened the canister far past the 18PSI manufacture setting. The only thing this shop managed to get right is charging me $30 for a $15 air filter. The lack of care and professionalism is astounding. This shop obviously doesn’t care about their reputation or your vehicle. It would have been more convenient to have changed the oil in my driveway.

Setup an appointment to get a new set of tires. Gave them all the necessary information to file a claim on one tire that had a screw. Called twice to veify it had been handled and was told it was good to go. Arrived to pick up my car and tbey refused to let me see my invoice before paying. Requested it multiple times and it was denied over and over. Made me pay just to find out the itemized invoice I had initially requested was full of add ons and inconsistencies I never asked for and to top it off they never validated the claim on my tire through the tire protection plan I had. Once I asked for the reimbursement it was also denied. Requested a manager and in return was asked to leave the establishment in an agressive manner and threatened with the police. Police was actually called and off course they had nothing to do other than ask me to come back the next day. Dropped $1,000 dollars on a new set of tires to treat the wife all because there was a screw on one tire. Tires were not needing replacement and I never asked for anything for free. Humilliated in front of customers and employees. I really hope this gets to the right person in charge.

I went to this particular location and they left my wife’s oil stick out of the engine. Oil spilled EVERYWHERE. It was on top of the motor & leaking underneath. They weren’t able to provide us a rental car because they, a multi-million dollar company, couldn’t afford the $300 deposit. Firestone then said they’d provide a rental car through Hendrick Chevrolet’s rental service. When I got to Hendrick, NO RENTAL CAR. I called George at 9am CST. It’s 1:10pm CST & I still haven’t heard a word from them. They never offered to refund us the money for the original oil change. Complete negligence! They never touched base to see if we were satisfied. Never offered us anything, but “we’ll make it right”. Words mean nothing when actions like these show everything.

I made an appointment to get several automobile services for my car. Customer service GREAT! It did take awhile waiting, I should have just left the car and either picked it up later or next day. Satisfied with work and price. Waiting area was clean. No problems. Cashier friendly and thanks.
