We were hesitant on getting a vehicle from them because of what we had heard about them, but I was desperate for a vehicle cheaper on gas! They have been fantastic! They replaced the transmission before we bought it and when it blew a seal they were quick to fix it! I’ve had the car for a few months now and drive it EVERYWHERE! my husband nor myself have any complaints about the service we have received!

I wouldn't reccomend that anybody purchase a vehicle from Smiley's Auto. They lie about the work done to vehicles. My husband and i purchased a vehicle from there with a supposedly rebuilt motor. The "rebuilt" motor had a BAD oil leak. The motor blew and when we had another motor put in, the mechanic said the motor wasn't rebuilt but it waa painted. Don't trust them when they say that they've done certain work on their vehicles.

I had a horrible expirence at Smileys Auto. I went there and purchased a vehicle which was supposed to be dependable and good running. The problem was the motor. I was told that the motor had been rebuilt using two different motors. It was a repossesed SUV that was once an escort. Smiley had told me the previous owner had burned up the motor and that a newer rebuilt motor was in it. About three weeks after I got the vehicle it started burning oil like crazy. I was putting in about 4 quarts every week or so. So i went to Wal-Mart and purchased a stop oil leak treatment. Afterwards the oil light never came on so i thought, problem fixed. Not only did it continue to leak oil but the engine completely burned up. When i took it back to see what could be done about it, i was told it was my fault the engine blew and that i needed to pay for another engine and for the labor before they would work on it. I didn't trust them at this point. How was i supposed to be certian they would put a good engine in it? A few weeks earlier i ran across the previous owner of the SUV. He and his wife told me and my wife that they let the SUV go back because it had a BAD oil leak. They took it to Smileys several times and no one could find the oil leak. They were putting around 4 to 5 quarts in every week and since they were driving as an escort they couldn't afford all that oil and still make the payments. So.not only was lied to about the motor (it was the same motor they had only put some parts from another motor on it) but i was out over $2,000 for a vehicle that lasted me a little over a month. I went to Scotts Auto to replace the engine and to have the work done on it. It runs perfectly and doesn't use a drop of oil. The man at Scotts told me that the motor they took out of the SUV wasn't a rebuilt motor but rather it was painted to look like a newer motor. It was an expensive mistake. Be careful when Smileys tells you tbat they've done this or that to fix one of their vehicles. When you test drive it, test drive it to a reputable mechanic that will thoroughly inspect it to make sure you aren't buying a bunch of problems. I would NOT recommend that anyone buy a vehicle there no matter how tight money may be at the time.
