“We attended an outdoor wedding in Pisgah, AL yesterday at Meeks Grain and Gin. It was a beautiful wooded setting with a tranquil flowing stream, perfectly sized for a smallish wedding. The parking was confusing because our GPS had us park on the right (it had a parking sign) and we had to walk a good distance to the venue on the other side of the road. The venue signage was on the other side of the road from where we parked, and it said parking there too, but you don't know that until you walk across the road. We liked the vintage country decor and relaxed atmosphere of the reception hall. But it had four walls and a ceiling, and there were no fans. It was sweltering inside (wedding reception around 4:30pm). There were only two restroom stalls for the ladies, so there was usually a line. The paper towels ran out before the event was over, so we had to dry with toilet paper. We really enjoyed the band, Sawdust Jukebox. But we were close to the speakers, and it was very loud. Overall, we had a good time though.”
