We've been ADT customers now for a year and a half and are totally dissatisfied. The monitoring service ADT provides is just fine, but the installation is overpriced, they charge $60 for service calls to fix their equipment which often malfunctions, and we are locked into a multi-year contract that it will cost us $900 to get out of. Be forewarned.

Don’t trust this Company!!!! Please stay away if possible. This is a company that teaches their employees how to scam customers and be deceitful. It’s sad to know that Company can get a legit business license to conduct fraudulent business. We are in the last days!!! No one has integrity nowadays!!!!! ADT, run away!!!!

I was hoping to receive a customer survey after my security system was installed, but surprisingly, I did not receive one. Although I was tempted to let the experience go, I know that feedback is the only way a process can get better.1) While the technicians spoke with courtesy, their actions did not reflect the same. Both technicians entered my house with muddy shoes/boots and tracked dirt everywhere. Neither of them asked if they should put on booties, brought anything to protect the floor as they walked in and out, or asked if they needed to remove their shoes upon entering.2) While discussing what I wanted installed, we stood in the living room. Stood. Until one technician decided he was tired of standing, pulled out my piano bench, and sat down without asking permission.3) I told the technicians that I wanted to reuse the current doorbell camera and lock after they replaced it with the ADT products. They removed the lock on the front door and set it off to the side, but didn't save all the parts so that I could reuse it. They either threw those additional parts away or took them. Weeks later, I went to install my original doorbell camera on a house I was renovating. I went back to where the technicians had placed parts they removed from my previous security system, and discovered the doorbell camera wasn't there. Again, they either took it or threw it away without asking me.4) ADT sold me a floodlight camera as part of my security package. Just forewarning, they don't install the floodlights. You will have to hire a separate technician to perform that installation.5) Being Active Duty military, and knowing that I would receive new orders in 2 years, I asked if ADT had a military clause to end my contract or suspend it until I return from an overseas location (options like these exist for phone plans and cable subscriptions). ADT does not offer a military clause. So, I have knowingly signed a 5 year contract for a service I will only use for 2 years.Overall, I am deeply disappointed with the quality of ADT's customer service - from the institution to the labor. The security system works great, but I probably will go with another service in the future.

I have been given the run around about canceling my service. I’ve had the phone hung up on me. I wish I would have read reviews and or asked around about them. I will not recommend. Someone reached out today to try to send a tech out and as I mentioned before I am a busy person and I don’t know when I can just be home for someone to come out. I told her that I suppose to be canceling not setting an appt. They lady saw no notes about what was discussed previously with techs nor managers. Adt is a joke!!!!

Before you go with this company please see the issue I am faced with. Sorry for the length, but PLEASE READ. Being military, I wanted a system that will protect my family even when I am overseas. I purchased equipment two years ago. I am not rich by no means. The representative came to my house. I explained to them I am military and move often. I explained that the house I am staying at is a rental. They said no problem, we have a wireless system, we can relocate it, and we even have a buy back program if your next house has less windows. $3k later I felt good about our choice. Yes, the system did work. However, now it is time for me to move. ADT told me (from my understanding) sorry we had sent a sub-company called defender to your home, but they have since went out of business. ADT does not move systems, but we will sell you a new system. This statement was said with joy in their voice like it would be a good thing. After pleading my case for over an hour. I was offered a free system with a fraction of what my current system offers but I believe at a higher price per month. The new system would NOT have smoke, carbon, not enough window sensors, no outside alarm, etc… that my old system offered. From my personal experience the company did not honor a service promised and my landlord now gets a 3k alarm system. I am left with either taking a subpar system, rebuying a system, or not having a system. Again based on my experience, if there is loop holes like this, what other loop holes are their ADT?

I've been an ADT customer since March 2008. I've had several technicians come out recently and within the past year. My cameras that I upgraded to in August 2020, have not worked properly since installation. Most recently, a technician recommended increasing my internet speed to resolve the problem. This did not solve the problem. I do not recommend ADT for cameras at all. My alarm system continues to work great.

David was a very prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and professional representative for ADT. He took care of my service call needs and saw other issues that he fixed with no hesitate. Thank you ADT for sending David to handle my maintenance request.

My ADT representative did an outstanding job. He went over several packages to ensure I knew my options. Working with David, I feel safe and secure. He answered all the questions I had and walked me through everything I needed. I will recommend Mr. Jackson's services to others.Update: I gave Mr. Jackson a referral to one of my friends and he criticized him on his credit without knowing if he was a victim of identity theft. Change the rating from 5 stars to 2 stars

Thank you Scott for upgrading our home security system with ADT. We have used ADT for over 10 years and we have never had a problem. The tech, Scott was professional, polite, and very knowledgeable. He worked effectively and efficiently, answering all of my questions (I had alot) and even taking extra time to explain future upgrades. Thank you ADT and Scott.
