Service is pretty slow and doesn't seem to have control in the kitchen to prioritize the orders.

My husband put our names in at 10:30 am on a Sunday morning. They were somewhat busy but not packed. We had a party of 8 so a bit larger. We were told 25 minutes at max. We ended up waiting for 45 minutes before we were sat, that’s after they sat multiple people who came in after us, including a larger party than us. After we were sat our waitress (she was amazing) took our orders (at about 11:10). We then proceeded to wait an hour for our food to arrive and it still hadn’t come. Brought it up to the manager and we were finally able to get our food, which wasn’t all correct or hot. We will not be back to this location.

Me and my family came to IHOP in Prattville Saturday March 30 2024 thinking we will have a good experience when we arrived there though there seemed to be confusion among the staff and very little care for the customers waiting once arrived at our table which took 20 minutes of waiting I thought I should set a timer on my phone which I did I saw our waiter once and me and my family waited for over a hour before I got up and told my family let’s leave I noticed several waiters on there phone and having little care at all to the customers not once in over a hour did my table get. Asked about a refill or anything as me and my family were about to leave the lady who walked to us to our table stated sir your food is done it’s been waiting in the window for your waiter to bring it I was confused to what I just heard and she begged us to sit back down so we did when we got our food it was cold and I noticed the order was incorrect at that point I was ready to go so I asked for bill and left this was the worst experience of dining in I have ever experienced I was embarrassed that this occurred and felt awful for my kids who experienced it something needs to be done there is no reason a family of only 4 should wait almost 2 hours from the moment they arrive to receive food that is cold and not even what they ordered. Shameful.

Place is a joke. Waited 15 minutes to get our drinks. Multiple folks sat after us got their drinks and food before us. Maybe the waitress, but looking around there is no sense of urgency in the employees. Watched one waitress sweep under a table for 6 minutes, with one arm, as slow as humanly possible. A bus boy took ten minutes to clear a table, doing it as slowly as possible. Management is a joke. Employees are a joke. Never coming to this dump again.

I stopped in this ihop durning my travels. At first glance walking in the place was immaculate. All the employees were smiling and saying hi and welcome. I felt very welcomed just walking in the door. The Gm (I believe her name was Lauren) was talking with the hostess and personally sat us in a booth and got our drinks while we waited on our server to greet us. The food was hot and oh so good. I always enjoy eating at ihop, but hands down this was the best experience I have ever had! If I could give 100 stars I would! If you are ever in the area please stop in and have a great meal with amazing service.

It was a Sunday afternoon as we rolled in from the harbor of hunger, greeted at Port by a hostess named Bri. She welcomed us with open arms like those who have been lost at sea, hungry and thirsty for days. Her warmth, friendliness, as we waited to be seated, keeping the children busy with smiles and conversations and eventually we were seated and given the most gracious waitress, heather. Heather served us with the warmth, charm and novelty of a village tavern out of folklore, as she treated our children as those of her own very own village. I was served coffee that I can only describe here as nectar from the heavens themselves. The pancakes were made with love, each bite taking us to the next level of sweetness, happiness, delight and eventually crescendo to sheer tranquility. Whether it was the blessing of eating lunch on the Lord's day, or just another afternoon at ihop, either way this was not just lunch, this was an experience, no, this was pure transcendence. They say that art imitates life. I can tell you that IHOP imitates that nostalgic childhood that we all dream of in the isolated moments of the night when life is hard. Five stars

This is by far the slowest restaurant in the area. You will wait forever for a seat, if you're picking up an order you will wait for at least 30 mins. The staff is friendly, the food is ok, the place in clean, they always say they're understaffed, but you would think after months of this they would hire someone. The place desperately needs guidance, the potential is there.. the staff will ignore you but its because they dont know what else to say.. if the kitchen is that backed up,, someone needs to expedite.. the place could do a great business,, but the restaurant is empty and the waiting room full.. its beyond ridiculous. Where is the manager and how come they don't know whats going on or will help?

Will not be back. While it was not solely anyone's fault, the whole experience was just one disappointment after the next. While we were seated fairly quickly we ordered our food around 9:45AM, we wait and wait and wait. Noticing our waitress go to other tables to inform them of an issue but not stopping by ours. Finally at 10:47 she comes up stating something about receipts not printing in the kitchen. 11 hits and we finally start getting some food. Many things are wrong with the food but we are too hungry at this point to care. At 11:15 we finally receive all of our food and the bill. Of course due to the ridiculous wait and wrong food I asked for a discount. No manager on duty so I got a whole $3 off......Waiting on a call back from Corporate. Still highly unlikely we return.

This location seems to have staffing issues. With slow service and lukewarm food, it took 90 minutes to have lunch. Several people in training, so maybe things will improve.
