Nice location. Well kept. Not crowded on the cold day I visited. It is a good spot to watch for inland gulls , especially in winter months. It’s also very popular for fishing. The trails are in good shape and the bathrooms are clean and accessible.

Ten Islands Historic Park is one of the most picturesque locations in Northeast Alabama. There is easy access to the water, with a good-sized beach cordoned off to keep kids safe. Plenty of picnic tables are scattered throughout the area, along with bathrooms and fishing piers and boat ramp. And for the explorers a scattering of hiking trails. This is one of my go to places for sunrises, sunsets and at night to see the stars.

Absolutely beautiful area. The lady that is the attendant there is friendly and tries to keep the park safe.

Went fishing there and loved it. Caught several crappie, a few catfish, and couple of bass. They have plenty of fishing spots, a beach area for swimming, and a boat launch. They have pavilions with picnic tables and clean restrooms as well. No alcohol is allowed so therefore Is say it's a family oriented, kids friendly place.

Nice paved trail, 1.18 miles long, handicap accessible; except for the last apprx 80 feet which is unpaved and downhill. Trail goes through a pine woods with benches to rest on if needed. Trail parking is on the left in front of park office and ends at boat ramp/ swimming area parking lot. Several covered picnic tables are available as well as restrooms.

This is a great place to get outside. I've seen eagles here, big ones. Research the history on the ten islands I have. Ft. Strother and Andrew Jackson are synonymous to the area. Wait...There's a beach. Places to fish. You can put your boat in and use a public restroom.Wait...There a mile walking path through the woods. Keep your eyes open for wildlife. There has been a bear seen in the area about a year ago. Wait...The water is safe for swimming. Low ecoli, sn ideal place to cool off during the hot summer months. Cook out under a covered picnic area. Wait....I go here all the time for my namaste moments. Lots of people with there little gold finders. Epic place 4 real!
